Stayed for 4 nights after trawling round several different places in Japan. Had originally booked to stay somewhere else in Atami but I’m glad I changed to Megumi. It’s very close to the railway station. Hint: check your emails when you book as there is a quick and easy route from the station to the guest house which is not the Google maps route. The guest house send you a link to a 3 minute YouTube video which shows the route from the station. ||I stayed in a dorm room which had added privacy curtains to the roomy beds. It was a little stuffy in the evening as the a/c doesn’t generally get turned on until 9pm. Free tea, coffee and water is provided in the tv room and there are all the usual things to ensure that you can be self sufficient. ||The rooftop terrace has a tremendous view over the beach and sea, as do some of the private rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful. There’s nothing I didn’t like...
Read moreThe only advantage point is its good view to see fireworks . The host can’t accept customer’s sincere feedback via booking agents and shot back with very rude and offensive comments! We were extremely uncomfortable with the video cameras inside eg dining rooms like we were being spied all the time! The host even used his torch light to check any guests wearing the wrong slippers at the rooftop watching fireworks! There were no signage to inform guests for his rule! It is completely not the guests’ fault! Some Japanese guests were fed up and left immediately,we can understand how frustrating they were! It definitely spoilt their mood! We NEVER NEVER come back ! As a guest ,it was pretty rude for the host to use a torch light to check if we did change our slippers! We believe there should be a better way to communicate! Sorry to give our true comments on our bad experience for what we saw and...
