I’m sure this is a good hotel for Japanese guests. Very little English is spoken and there were multiple misunderstandings/disappointments. For starters there is an onsen and a hotel with the same name and google directs you to the onsen - I ended up at the onsen, but was eventually driven to the hotel in a shuttle by a very sweet man. Check in was strictly 3pm, though they at least did bring me my key before the alarm sounded at 3pm and hoards of guests lined up to check in. There is no wifi in the rooms - first time I’ve come across this in Japan. Was frustrating to have to keep returning to the lobby. The free shuttle to the station which is advertised runs on a strict schedule starting late morning - too late for me so I had to pay for a taxi. Dinner was a huge buffet but again no one spoke English so I was left to try and figure out how it all worked, where to find and how to use the food trays, how to work the drink machines (couldn’t figure this one out). The food was all labelled in Japanese so I couldn’t work out what most of it was. The chefs would make loud announcements in Japanese and everyone would rush up and take what was being offered - nothing was offered to me. Breakfast was much the same although I was able to ask for and receive a fork. I was given a room with two single beds facing the road - I was expecting a double bed with some sort of view. ||All in all not what I was expecting and at a cost of $190. The only good thing I have to say is that the view from the lobby is beautiful, and the shampoo and conditioner left my hair feeling amazing.||Would not recommend to a...

Read moreWe had a fantastic stay at this hotel. From check-in the staff were friendly, the rooms were much larger than expected (maybe I didn’t read the description properly🤣) we had a fantastic ocean view and our rooms were the only 2 rooms on the 5th floor. I was worried at first as our room was directly behind the lounge and the yukata collecting area but the rooms weren’t noisy at all. They were very clean and obviously recently renovated. The buffet restaurant was wide and there was a lot of choice, the sushi and sashimi was very good. My husband likes the steak. The best thing you can’t miss is the Steamed pudding!! It was incredible! Usually buffets have cheap basic cakes but the pudding and apple pie were great. Also the soft cream from the machine is too creamy and delicious! The location is so good, you can walking to the station or even to the beach. I want to...
