This was our second hotel in Tokyo (ever) and, oh dear, it is need of some serious TLC!|Our trip’s brochure said we would be staying in a mixture of 3 and 4 star hotels. We are not sure how it has managed to get a 3 star rating!||We were part of a group of 35 arriving at the same time but rooms had been allocated prior to arrival and “keys” prepared so the whole process was easy.|Rooms were clean and tidy. One comment we would make is that, in this age of conserving resources, the bath tub (with perfectly good shower over) should be removed and replaced with a walk-in shower. Some of the more mature in years people in our group may have found getting in and out of the tub a little tricky as it was quite high.|Free wifi is available in the rooms – we didn’t test out if it was available elsewhere in the hotel.|The provision of tea/coffee ingredients was a little sparse and there was no English Breakfast tea! Go prepared – we did – and with milk sticks!|Whilst the room was clean, the building could do with a facelift. Unlike other hotels we stayed at the staff dressed in formal style but to a lower 3 star level!|Few of the staff spoke any English but all did their best to be helpful. The evening meal for the whole group was exactly the same as the group had had the previous night on a boat in Tokyo BUT the cooking of the “pot” of noodles and slithers on beef plus some vegetables was not allowed to be long enough resulting in some tough meat!|Breakfast was a buffet and was quite a crowded affair.|Once again, no English Breakfast tea and no cold milk by the coffee/hot water machines – find the cereals for that! Japanese as well as western food was available. Chop-sticks and knives/forks were available.|Check out was simple even the machine was in English or Japanese!|There is an onsen available (google it and have fun!) but we were too exhausted to make use of it.|Walking outside the hotel is limited – it is on a main road without pavements! There is a segregated walkway to the hotel car park but nothing on the opposite side of the road to enable you to get onto the beach.|Would we return – certainly not – very...

Read moreTraditional hotel with onsen and lovely views out to sea. Rooms all have sea view as access to the rooms is from the rear of the hotel. The seafront is just around the corner for a nice stroll, maybe sunrise or sunset.||We only stayed one night, but enjoyed a lovely evening incorporating a visit to the fabulous onsen and a traditional Japanese course meal. The onsen offered luxurious public, single sex baths. Towels were provided within the onsen, lovely toiletries, together with hairdryers and one use hairbrushes were available. Baskets were provided for clothing, but no lockers so don’t take any valuables -=leave them in your room.||The bedrooms had a more traditional and basic feel : Yukata and slippers were provided in the room with a choice of western or Japanese style beds available. A tatami mat area formed the front part of each room out onto the balcony and there was tv and also drinks maker, though we didn’t manage to work that out. The bathroom was however tiny and pod like - think cruise ship/university halls en-suite, but smaller! We did wonder whether ours was a smoking room, as there was a distinct smell.||We were part of a small group and had an individual dining room for our evening meal. The Japanese food was excellent. ||There is a small bar area serving a variety of drinks, but as we were all sat in our Yukata, we remained in the spirit of the moment and opted for our own tasting session of hot sake. ||Breakfast offered both Japanese and Western style options situated in adjoining rooms. It seemed a little disjointed and would suggest you have a look at all options first. ||Lovely stay and...
