It was an eye-opening rude experience trying to dine here. My husband and I arrived at the restaurant at 19:30 ish and were waiting to call in (recomended by the map). When we were trying to talk with the manger who took order at first to put our names on list for table for two, the manger won’t even look me in the eye.
There was a local couple ahead of us. The manger told everyonew present there, the last order time was 20:15, if we could get in and order before the deadline, we could all eat.
When he was informing, the manger looked at us and said to the local Japanese couples, that he was not sure if my husband and I could get in. We decided to look around for another option with phone outside the door while waiting (spearing the awkwardness of that Japanese couple for the need to must to talk to us). At 19:58 the local couple got in and we saw around 8 people finishing meal and walked out. We went back inside and waited.
At around 20:02 we were still waiting and fearing no food for us. I tried to talk to manger, he was completely cold shoulder. I told him in translating app that we have been wait for half an hour and that he's mention: before20:15 sit and order, we could eat.
No matter how I explained, there i sno letting in restaurant and wasting us 40 mins for nothing. So rude, he was not planning to let us eat the beginning but he should have told us. Whatever this is, unwelcome, egoistic and possibly racist to non- Japanese / non- Japanese...

Irochaya 🐟 #Atami
At Iro Chaya, I ordered the seafood bowl, and it was nothing short of fantastic! This bowl was packed with a variety of fresh, seasonal sashimi, along with generous portions of sakura shrimp and shirasu (baby sardines), making it an absolute treat for seafood lovers. 🦐 The fish was incredibly fresh, perfectly cut, and beautifully presented on top of a bed of rice.
Not only was the portion size generous, but it also felt like a great deal for the quality and variety of ingredients. 🌊 By the time we left around noon, the place had gotten quite crowded, with people lining up outside, showing just how popular this spot...
Read moreSo bad. First of all, we were foreign tourists and we asked the clerk (female, older looking) for some toilet paper after we finished eating because I had a bad case of the sniffles and after she gave me the toilet paper, she kept glaring at me as she watched me blow my nose and told me to get out and blow my nose. This store is very fawning to Japanese people, very unfriendly to foreign tourists, expensive, I think there are other stores nearby that will be friendly to foreign tourists, than this store, foreign tourists please go to other...
