What you read in the reviews for this pancake gastronomical heaven is no exaggeration, this place is special, really special. From the very deliberate sequence of entry through carefully manicured spaces, the serene contemplative courtyard space with a meticulously hand crafted aged timber entry door, to the almost spiritual ambience of the interior space, this eatery just simply exudes elegance and refinement to the nth degree. And that's just the architecture we're talking about. The pancakes here are of course the real stars of the show and are just simply in a class of their own. How do you compare or describe perfection? Watching the owner-master patissier prepare, construct and assemble perfectly formed fluffy pancakes was pure unadulterated bliss and alone worth every penny of the experience. Tasting the pancakes brought everything to a celestial level simply unattainable at any other dessert restaurant in our mortal realm. These pancakes were so delicious, tears rolled uncontrollably down our stoic faces. We sat in utter stupor, weeped like little girls, pulled ourselves together, then repeated the entire process again. We wanted to live in that space and time. We did not want the meal to end. We did not want to leave. Time stood still for those brief fleeting moments, but the memories linger, and linger, and linger... We will snap ourselves out of this hypnotic trance, we will pull ourselves together, we will focus, we will organise, we...

While looking for a place that had options that did not contain seafood for our kids, we stumbled upon this place. I am not a fan of pancakes, but the rest of my family is. We went for it. After having to ask for directions because it felt like we were going to the wrong place we found the unobtrusive door with a hand written sign posted outside. When you enter it feels like a ramen shop, but the options ended up being so much better. We were welcomed by the lone man with a joyful smile and a welcoming presence. He sat us at the bar and handed us English menus. We ordered 2 mixed berry, 1 tiramisu, and 1 chocolate set of pancakes. We then watched the pancake samurai create his art with passion not seen in most of the other eating establishments we journeyed past. He knows his craft well and created the best and only pancake I have ever said I would eat again. It was light, fluffy, and delicious. The skill with which he assembled and each work of art was wonderful to watch. We all waited for each plate to be completed before digging into our own because it was so intriguing to take in. I am seriously considering a trip back to the island simply to eat these pancakes again. If you have 40 minutes to spare, and want the best pancake you will ever eat, do not miss...

THE BEST experience and food!! Found this place by seeing the sign on the shopping street, we were looking for fluffy pancakes for weeks and stumbled upon this. The chef is amazing; he crafts an excellent atmosphere. His pancakes are the absolute best and most memorable food we had. The price may seem steep at first and you have to place 1 pancake order per person, but you pay for the experience and you get individually made artisan pancakes done right in front of you from flour to finish. They are worth every yen, they're fluffy and melt in your mouth. You'll be happy you have your own order, trust me. I'd give 10/5 stars if possible.
