We decided at the last minute to take a quick bath here before dinner. The entrance fee is cheap at 350 yen and you can buy a little soap bar for 50 yen. I recommend bringing a small bit of shampoo if you wanna wash your hair. The changing area is really quite small considering the busy location but everyone was very kind there. There is no outdoor bath, but the tall ceilings and beautiful wood make up for that. My only real complain is that there are only 3 showers for bathing. There are like 7 other stools with buckets but I am not sure if you can take water from the bath to wash yourself or if that would be frowned upon. So if you want a thorough shower and to take your time and get clean I wouldn’t recommend it but if you are looking for a quick soak I would. The water was really hot. I wouldn’t say it was too hot but I couldn’t stay in more than five minutes at a time ( a relatively cool/warm day in September). It wasn’t crowded for me so I enjoyed it a lot. However, my boyfriend had a hard time. The mens side was very busy and there were two old men monopolizing the shower for over. 30 minutes even though there were many people waiting so he felt that he had to bathe quickly. Again, if you want a long thorough shower you might not be able to do that. Please consider other people when you go <3 I don’t mind there being only 3 showers but it would be nice if they could at least add faucets for the buckets so you could rinse off some. Apparently some shogun or important guy got assassinated while bathing here 400 years ago. Apparently there is a view tower too! It was redone in 2000 so it is like very nice and new. Just don’t get shot

This was surprisingly one of my favorite onsens and it was just a last-minute decision for a public bath before dinner. The reception could not speak any English but they always try their best as with most of Japan. Fee is 350yen and you buy your ticket from a vending machine. Other items such as towel and soup bar are available for purchase as well if you didn't bring your own. Only indoor onsen available and a few bath stalls. Turnover here was quick as many locals will come and go, especially the men side. Just don't get assassinated here like that Shogun some few hundred years ago.

Small, historical onsen along the river valley. Inside consists on one bath in a large wooden tub. Very relaxing, though no outside area (hence 4 star)

Cost is 350. You pay at the machine and hand the ticket to the attendant. This onsen has no shampoo so bring your own or its only 50 for a small travel sized packet. Towel rental is 100yen

The shoe locker is pretty large and fit my day pack. Inside the lockers are a similar size. Fantastic way to...
