Even though on Booking, we are only asked to pay ¥28,000 for two rooms (for one triple room for 2 people and one quadruple room for 3 people) for 5 people. We tried to book a room for 5 people for only one quadruple room at your ryokan because we want to sleep next to each other. You only offered ¥35,000 for one quadruple room to fit 5 people. This is very greedy of you. We are only requesting for one room, but you still want to take as much money from us as possible. I hope that ryokans with this kind of greed for money will not become successful and will go bankrupt.
Edit: I have proof that it was 28,000 yen for two rooms (one is a triple room, and the other is a quadruple room) for 5 people. I can provide a screenshot from Bookingapp. Now they are denying the facts, even though I have sent them the screenshot.
I have traveled to all 47 prefectures in Japan and have used Bookingapp all the time. I am not confused by the app. You are simply charging us an exorbitant amount of money because you think you can get away with it.
I hope that this complaint will be...

This inn is extremely unreasonable. There is an open space in front of the inn, and right next to it is a proper parking lot with a large sign that clearly says “Parking.” Because of this, it’s very easy to mistake the open space as part of the parking lot.
Naturally, we parked there without any suspicion and went across the street to have lunch at a soba noodle shop.
After finishing our meal, we came back to find our car blocked by another vehicle and unable to move. So we went to the shop indicated on the parking sign to pay the parking fee and mentioned that someone had blocked our car.
The shop owner told us that we had parked in the wrong place — that it was actually the inn’s parking lot — and said we needed to talk to the inn’s staff.
Feeling sorry for mistakenly parking there, we went into the inn to explain the situation. However, the staff was very unfriendly and simply said, “It’s 2,000 yen to park here.” Since we were at fault, we obediently paid the fee. After paying, they moved the black car that had been blocking ours. Immediately after, they drove that same car to block another car that also seemed to have mistakenly parked there (see photo/video).
Looking back, I found this behavior extremely inappropriate. At a normal inn, if a car pulls in, someone would usually come out and ask, “Are you a guest staying with us?” If someone makes a mistake, the staff would typically explain kindly, saying something like “This area is for staying guests only,” or clearly state the parking fee for non-guests.
But this inn hides inside, silently watching, and only comes out after the car is trapped — like they’re hunting prey — and then demands money.
It felt like dealing with roadside bandits. Everyone,...
Read moreI stayed here for a weekend trip. The room was beautiful and very clean. It's in an excellent location right in the heart of Shuzenji Onsen town next to the bamboo grove. The areas inside the inn are beautiful and you get a real sense of a traditional inn. The bedroom was large and we had access to a large terrace overlooking the river. The shared bathroom was on the smaller side but it has all the amenities we needed and it was nice to relax in the bath. Yukata and towels were provided. You will need to lay out your own futon bedding, but it is all very clean and read in the room when you arrive. There is a very cute cafe onsite that sells traditional Japanese sweets and they are very delicious. I would recommend staying and I will definitely be returning when I get the chance. It was great...
