A very small and welcoming cafe one street above Katsura river. The owners are super friendly, speak some English and make very delicious food. Their drink selection is crazy wide and yummy! I highly recommend trying their teas. Dog friendly, no Wifi but good working environment if you have a hotspot. They have some sockets too. Not open...

OMG, it's the world's best chiffon cake I have ever had! It literally melts in your mouth—so delicious. They offer a variety of choices, including honey cake, mint chocolate cake, and gluten-free black sticky rice cake, made with local ingredients by local owners. 友人と修善寺温泉の竹林小径を訪ねました。修善寺をお参りし、以前、桂川の真ん中にあった温泉は豪雨で流されシンボルとしての「とっこの湯」があります。 温泉街はお店が沢山あってそぞろ歩きにピッタリです。若者のグループ、カップル、外国人観光客で溢れていました。車が通るのでチョット心配です。楽しみは食事とスイーツ。わかりやすく作成されているマップを頼りに古民家カフェ「あまね」に行き鮎定食をいただきました。子どもをおんぶしながら若い奥さんがひとりで対応しているようでした。鮎は大きくてふわふわ熱々に焼けていてとっても美味しかったです。修善寺スイーツ総選挙&フォトコンテストで２位の水信玄をいただきました。宝石のようにキラキラして喉越しの良く、きな粉と黒蜜がよくあっていました。古民家そのままに友人は田舎に帰ったようだと喜んでいました。玄関を出ると二組のカップルが並んで待っていました。スイーツ総選挙１位の「honohono cafe」の黒米シフォンケーキをいただきました。残りが1つだったのではちみつシフォンケーキを頼んで友人とシェアしました。しっとりとして優しい味でした。他のお客様が注文していたハヤシライスが美味しそうでした。犬同伴のテラスもあります。
