This was such a memorable experience. I had worries about standing out in a kimono since I'm really introverted but the employees were so SO nice, it calmed me down. They were patient when it comes to picking the choices for the kimono, and kindly gave us reccomendations without pushing for us to buy extra options. When I went there, there were some people before me but they were really efficient at time management and I didn't wait long. The lady who did my hair was super friendly, she's really extroverted and cute, she was humming while doing my hair and it's just so cute. The lady who fitted us into our kimonos was also extremely kind and friendly, she loves giving us compliments as she fitted us into our outfit.

For people who are afraid of standing out like me: Don't worry at all! I had a fantastic time here, many people were also wearing kimonos, it's quite common actually. No one was giving us awkward stares. And I actually felt super confident in it eventually.

The pictures turned out extremely beautiful. I love every single one of them, it made me match the Kyoto aesthetic perfectly.

When I went back to the store to return our kimonos, I requested for my hair not to be undone (you can tell I'm in love with it). The ladies were very helpful with choosing the right outfit, some spoke in English and Chinese. The choice of kimono's is decent, there are different tiers depending on the package you bought. The hair styling was very efficient and beautiful and the dressing up was fast! You can come back at a designated time or pay slightly more (i think around ¥1000 extra) to return the kimono the next day. We truly enjoyed our kimono experience here! The staff were warm and welcoming from the very start and extremely helpful. The selection of kimonos was large, and the prices were more than fair. The team assisted with choosing both kimonos and accessories and was very efficient. They also spoke excellent English.
