I seldom to give below average marks. I’m very disappointed. I booked for lunch today and there’s not many customers. All of the staff attitude makes you feel pushy. They not explain details of their food, just tell you that you can choose the food on the lab too, only photo and the name of the set, no explanation and you will not know what item exactly included in the set. I asked the waitress for the menu for details and they pointed to the lab top. I will attach the photo and you will see the screen. So, for me it’s useless even they provide the menu in Chinese and English.
The key problem is the crab on different dishes is tasteless except one raw crab leg, just come from the fridge, the crab meat on tofu is an ice.
The staff keep busy servicing the food quickly, clearing the dishes, will not tell you what’s the dish and how to use the sauce.
Serving food is not in proper procedure, the pickles and soup are served just before the ice-cream. Not enjoy anything, just rush and not delicious for this high price set.
Definitely not recommended...
Read moreWe just wandered into this place while looking for somewhere to eat in Kyoto, and were not disappointed! This restaurant was a little more upscale and pricey, with options for hot pot or a beef and crab dinner. We opted for the beef and crab course, where they had several options for full multi course meals. Our selection gave us crab sashimi, grilled crab legs, and a beef steak. All of the cooked meats were prepared by a chef right in front of you. This was our first time eating raw crab, and we absolutely loved it. The grilled crab and steak were delicious as always, and the course also came with a salad, vegetables and a matcha ice cream dessert. Service was very friendly, and paying the check was quick and easy on the first floor. The dining rooms are actually on the upper floors and you will take your shoes off on the first floor. Come check this place out if you...
Read moreThe crab was a total disappointment. It was slightly cooked when it should have been raw. And it didn’t taste fresh. The king crab was defrosted as it tasted blend and a lot of water was dripping. When I told the staff, she told me I did not order the shabu shabu but the sukiya. I showed her the order, and in the end, she just said sorry, today crab not good. If that is the case, then should not even serve. Or inform the customer in advance. After the dinner, I was wondering why there were only 3 other tables and the restaurant looked very empty. It’s not a cheap dinner. And the staff did not even feel the slightest apologetic for the poor food and poor experience. The only saving grace is probably upon payment, they did not charge tax as we...
