Decided to give this place a try because it was the only sushi joint in Narita Airport prior to passing through security. Upon walking in, you get hit in the face with the fish smell which was not a good sign. Waitress was not too friendly and took a while to give us menus considering the place was pretty empty. When we finally got our menus, she stood there waiting impatiently for us to order? We ordered the 10 piece omakase and that was a mistake. Everything came out all at once and the fish was not fresh, fishy, slimy and the rice was cold and too moist. After several bites, I suppose I made a gesture to my gf that the food was not good. I suppose the chef saw that so he gave me a not so nice stare and then a minute later standing in front of me and coughed down at me while I was talking to my gf. WTH was that about? I wanted to curse him out and walk out, but did not want to cause a scene considering my flight home was just an hour away from departure. Got up and paid when I should have just left without. Read moreA parting shot, a final log in before departure from the land of the rising sun at this Sushi outlet on location at Narita Airport Terminal 1. Relatively easy to locate on the 3rd level this corner restaurant serves out fresh sushi and respectable sashimi at slightly higher prices ( after all it is an airport). Seatings are comfortable and the menus are available in English n more importantly your orders are served without undue delay.
The maguro cuts are fairly thick and undoubtedly fresh, served with quality rice flavoured with vinegar. Staff are quick to respond n helpful with politeness n care. As a departing meal it’s of utmost importance that the meal leaves a lasting good impression in both tastes n quality for it would provide a last good memory of a trip’s conclusion. In this respect the restaurant was not a disappointment n lived up to the overall good reputation of Nihon eateries. Gochisusama deshta for a meal...
Read moreCame here for late lunch just before my flight at the airport as it was one of the only sushi restaurants currently open in the airport. As we entered the staff were super friendly and there were seats at tables and at the sushi bar although all the seats at the sushi bar were taken so we had to be seated on a table. All the food looked really fresh and the menu had a wide variety of different types of sushi and bowls as well as other delicious things! We got the conger eel bowl as well as the tuna bowl and some other sushi but it was so delicious!! Im so glad I came here for my last meal for the trip as the fish was so fresh! The bowls also came with miso soup which had bits of salmon in it which was so delicious and even though this restaurant may be a little more pricey it is definitely...
