Today 4th Nov 2024, we ate at the Rin'yū Morning Market. Its an interesting experience. The sellers and the restaurant owner are very polite and helpful.
The Rin’yū Morning Market, located in Otaru, Hokkaido, is a vibrant and bustling market known for its early opening hours and fresh seafood. Other fish markets you can get sushi bowls but I prefer to eat sashimi so I went to the shop in this market.
This fish market was recommended highly by a local person. It opens at 4:00 in the morning but when I went to this shop at 5:30 or so in the morning there was no other customer.
To add some sea urchin it cost an additional 4 or 500 yen but it was delicious. I think this whole set cost 1,500 yen. Raw hokke was an interesting fish because it's rare to find it raw here. The sweet egg omelette roll was homemade and although simple amazingly delicious.
I asked for less rice but normally you would get more than what is pictured here.
Because the market is not crowded at all you can take your time. There are only two choices for shops that where you can eat at but I think both are good. I can't say for sure because I only went to the one on the left side of the main...
