Chanced upon this restaurant when I was looking for comfort food after my long train ride from Nagoya. It was empty when I walked past around 7:30pm, but I'm glad I decided to go in. There was no English menu but the staff who greeted me that night with a smile on his face was the nicest person to me today. He tried his best to communicate in English and assisted me with the ticket ordering-system. Even used Google translate to ask me if I needed an apron. But the service wasn't the only reason I decided to write this review.

It was the curry udon - such a simple plain curry with udon but it warmed my stomach and heart from the inside out :') the creamy curry soup was delicious and I regretted not getting rice to mix the curry with when I'm done with the udon. You get to add spice and garlic to your udon, which I'll recommend to enhance it's taste! The udon was so soft and chewy (a huge difference from the Al dente miso udon I had in Nagoya). Not sure whether it's because I was so tired and hungry that day, but it was the best and most memorable food I've had during my trip. I'll highly recommend for people to try it once at least!! It's already good on its own without the cheese, but it's your choice.

Was a bit unsure whether curry udon would be too rich, but it’s a bit milky too and the way it’s cooked makes it easy to go down with udon.

It was a bit tricky to order, but it’s worth it. There’s no English menu, and you order at the machine. You insert cash first, order the food, get your change, and hand the tickets to the staff.

There are three kinds of curry udon: choose your size, then toppings. Drinks wise, you check how much your drink is, then buy a voucher of the same value.

I got a small cheesy curry udon with fried onions. I added the spicy seasoning and dried garlic they provide on the table. Also, I got a small rice. The udon was delicious and I added the rice to the sauce at the end!!! The rice mixed with the cheese sauce was AMAZING!!! My husband got the medium size and rice and loved it too.
