Block 6 - Fisheries Intermediate Wholesale Market Building — Local services in Tokyo

I'm not a fan of giving such poor reviews to anything but the circumstances of this review merit some history. This fish market is incredibly controversial for the simple fact that it should never have been built when its predecessor, Tsukiji Market, was highly established and had none of the ridiculous drawbacks this place has. For one, this place is in the middle of nowhere, which makes touring this area quite burdensome. The facility was built exclusively through a warehouse design making it difficult to enjoy the one redeeming quality of the place which is that it is seaside. You are indeed able to view the wholesale market much more clearly than in Tsukiji Market but you will also roast to death because you are in a cement box with no A/C. This place probably deserves 3 stars, but I am genuinely outraged at how this mediocrity is replacing what was a magnificent tourist attraction, local eatery and local business in the original 83 year old...

Early arrived at Toyosu Sushi Dai at 5:45am and began to give out waiting ticket. I could only got a side table (not counter table) for second round "Omakase" at 8:40am (apparently 5:45am still not early enough for a good seat/time). In between visit the Toyosu Fish market and you could only "window watching" the Tuna Fish sell (especially mention the Japanese English speaking guide whom well explain the market and the seafood trade, thanks for your good work!). Not a place for sightseeing nor casual shopping. This is a highly charged trading ground where all transactions are made in cash only. Outsiders not familiar with the businesses or sensitive to fishy’s bloody smells should avoid coming here. The market workers will not hesitate to tell anyone off if anybody gets in their way.
