ST new york hair salon — Local services in Tokyo

I was looking looking for an english-friendly hairdresser, in Tokyo. Online advice pointed me to ST New York. I decided to take a 30min trip from Shinjuku.

It did not disappoint, as the reviews suggest - the service is immaculate. I was taken care by Shinobu. We went through potential hairstyles and I got my hair cut just the way I like. The ritual from the initial assessment, to first wash, cut, second wash and styling was relaxing and comforting.

If you are looking for a "just like back home" experience - I would highly recommend ST New York.

I got my haircut done by Shinobu san. After a long search for a neat and professional specialist, I came to this salon, and honestly, I was very nervous because I had some unpleasant experiences at different places before. I used to dislike my haircut, and it was also very painful for some reason. However, in St.New York salon I didn’t feel any pain or discomfort at all! Shinobu-san is very gentle and precise! From washing my hair to styling - everything was flawless and very delicate! I asked her to add some layers to my hair, and she did an amazing job. Yuri Katase was amazing. Really friendly salon. She went to great lengths to discuss my needs. She educated me about styling my hair, and she taught me more in one visit to a salon than any British or American hair salon I have been too. She has a wealth of knowledge and checks each step of the way, the amount of hair she is to take off. If you're in the area, visit her and her team.
