TL;DR Review: Bon Voyage is a well-designed and visually striking Disney store, shaped like a giant suitcase and packed with official Disney souvenirs. The merchandise selection is solid, making it a great stop for Disney fans. However, the store is exceedingly crowded, making browsing uncomfortable and limiting the overall shopping experience. If you’re a Disney enthusiast, it’s worth braving the crowds—otherwise, it may be best to admire from afar. Rating: 3/5.

Full Review: Bon Voyage at Tokyo Disney Resort is a thematic success, boasting an eye-catching suitcase-shaped exterior and a well-curated selection of Disney merchandise. As the largest official Disney store outside the parks, it carries an array of souvenirs, apparel, accessories, and limited-edition collectibles—everything you’d expect from a flagship Disney retail location.

The design is excellent, immersing visitors in the magic of Disney before they even step inside. The attention to detail in both the layout and presentation is commendable, creating an experience that feels like an extension of the theme parks rather than just another retail space.

However, the biggest drawback is the sheer crowd density. While Tokyo is no stranger to packed spaces, Bon Voyage takes it to another level. The store is frequently overcrowded, making it difficult to navigate, let alone browse comfortably. If you’re someone who values a relaxed shopping experience, this may not be for you.

For the dedicated Disney fan, the selection and atmosphere may justify the wait and the tight quarters. But for the more casual visitor, it quickly becomes a test of patience rather than an enjoyable shopping experience. It reminded me of my visit to the Nintendo store—an impressive place that I simply couldn’t stomach for too long due to the overwhelming number of people.

Ultimately, Bon Voyage is worth visiting for the design and selection alone, but the crowd levels significantly detract from the experience. If you can handle the sardine-like conditions, it’s a fantastic Disney souvenir stop. Otherwise, you might be better off exploring other official Disney retail locations with a little more...

Bon Voyage, located right next to Tokyo Disneyland, is an absolute must-visit for any Disney lover! This massive suitcase-shaped store is filled with a wide range of official Disney merchandise — from plush toys and keychains to seasonal goods and limited-edition souvenirs. Even if you don’t have a park ticket, you can still enjoy the Disney magic here. The store’s design itself feels like part of the park experience, with cheerful music and colorful displays that instantly lift your mood. It’s especially convenient for last-minute shopping before heading home, thanks to its close proximity to Maihama Station. The staff are friendly and efficient even during busy hours, keeping the experience pleasant. If you want to bring home a little piece of Disney magic, Bon Voyage at Tokyo Disney Resort is the perfect stop for gifts, memories, and that extra bit...

We had the best experience in this store. We were trying to buy a bag (Marie from Aristocats) that was sadly already sold out in the store. I was heartbroken but we were informed that we would be able to purchase the bag online. We were having trouble navigating the online store and we had the pleasure to encounter the nicest and most helpful employee (I believe her name was Rie Obho, apologies if I am mistaken) who took about 30 minutes to help us find and order the bag. She walked us through the entire process and went above and beyond to accommodate us. I have never experienced service as wonderful as this anywhere before. Miss Ohbo, thank you very much for making our visit so special and emotional in the best way possible. I will never forget your kindness and patience. You are truly an angel and I cannot thank you enough...

Bon Voyage, one of the biggest Disney shops in Japan, is located on the Tokyo Disneyland Gateway leading from JR Maihama Station to Tokyo Disneyland. There are about 4,000 different kinds of items sold at Bon Voyage including items sold inside Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, such as plush toys, stationery, and confections. Guests can shop in this large store filled with fascinating items in a fun atmosphere. Bon Voyage (meaning “have a nice trip” in French)
