Lotus's Bandar Puteri Bangi — Local services in Kajang Municipal Council

Used to shop for groceries here. There are a number of groceries for me to choose from. The Scan & Shop app is a useful feature, where customers can simply scan which item they want to buy at Lotus's, then simply show the cashier the barcode for payment at the counter.

However, I no longer frequently shop here since late 2021 for one thing: RUDE STAFF.

Case in point, there is this one Malay guy working at the wet market area (fresh meat, poultry, seafood) who insulted me for supposedly blocking his way, even though I DID NOT. Not only that, he even got the nerve to stare at me (he did this from behind the meat display counter) as if I was deliberately blocking his way. Kurang Ajar.

Honestly, just because you are stressed at work, it doesn't mean that you have to be rude towards your customers who are contributing to your salary and treating them like beggars!

Long story short; Thanks to that incident, I have avoided (read: BOYCOTT) buying groceries here, and only buy here as a last resort. The only redeeming quality here is the useful Scan & Shop (unfortunately, discontinued as of July 2024) feature by Lotus's, and that's...

I personally do like to frequent Tesco here. Security at the car park seriously needs to be heightened. Just to share for all precautions, especially female shoppers who come alone. It just happened mins ago. I have a habit locking car doors while sitting inside car. I considered myself lucky. While I was enjoying my just-bought-ice-cream inside car, a guy on motorbike quicky came by my car and used force trying to open my car door. U know what? He pretended to be sorry and was asking to borrow my handphone. He was forcing open my car door, not knocking on my car window. I asked him to try seek help from inside Tesco, he just pretended he's in emergency. I then offered to call on his behalf. But he refused and fled away on his motorbike, not even asking others or going inside Tesco to seek help. Girls out there, be extremely careful while shopping here, especially at night. My regular supermarket for groceries shopping. Plenty of covered parking and early opening hours. You collect points every time you spend here. The points you can convert to cash vouchers for even more savings. I love the Scan & Shop app where I don’t have to queue at the regular counters. Just scan all my groceries beforehand and go to the special Scan & Shop counter.

Food at the food court is reasonably good too. Do try the tom yam booth. Q-Mac shop provides the best screen protectors and tempered glass for all kind of phones at affordable price. There’s even a PosLaju outlet for all your shipping needs.

I must complaint on the faulty trolleys though. Each time I need to try out 3-4 trolleys to find one that wont swerve like a drunk or make loud screeching noise. Other than that, I love shopping at this Lotus.
