It is the best place to purchase second hand law reports ,the price is reasonable and the terms are negotiable. It is also the most comprehensive bookshop for statutes and latest law books in the market. The whole team at Joshua Legal Art Gallery are customer oriented and efficient. From time to time there are sales with good discounts. The shop is frequented by many current big names in the legal profession including the late tiger Jelutong Datuk Seri Utama Karpal Singh and his late assistance Micheal. Law students from our local universities normally will find their text and reference books are easier to find .(including student edition). Amongst the notable customers if I can mention, our great Datuk Seri Gopal Sri Ram and our former best AG that Malaysia used to have Tan Sri Tommy Thomas. Anyway it is strange that some Malaysian can't accept the truth and begin issuing LOD to Tommy Thomas and lodging police reports etc. InshaaAllah all those action will backfired. Those people should look themselves carefully in the mirror and learn to accept the truth as new way of how Malaysian should live, stop all the apple polishing for self interest and yes please stop all the unwanted jealousy against Tommy Thomas. Everyone should buy and read his book. From what I understand it is sold out but anyone can simply placed an order. If Tommy Thomas exposed many historical facts that turn some parties into green incredible hulk, how about reading all the disputed information written by our former controversial premier-Doctor in the House. Why is there double standard? No police report and LOD against the former premier. Those who initiated action have themselves only to blame for their stupidity and ignorance and yes - ignorance of law is no excuse. Oooop sorry I diverted quite a bit already, anyhow would like to highlight that Joshua also sells second hand law books thus there are something for everybody including student edition of text books or legal references reprinted by publisher in India to reduce the price of the version published in London. If I am not mistaken they also have another outlet in Kota Kinabalu new court complex , I assumed to cater for the Sabah Sarawak and Brunei market. One don't have to worry about social distancing as bookstore normally will not be frequented by many customers simultaneously as Malaysian perhaps prefer to purchase latest handphone and other gadgets over books. Anyhow those gadgets can be helpful to them if they didn't abuse it and use it wisely laaaaaa. New generation of legal practitioners should learn to value the actual hardcopy of law books rather reading from the small screen of their smartphones and tablets etc. I assumed I am a bit old timer maybe as I was admitted to the bar in 1991 and frequented Joshua old shops since before the existence of the new jalan duta court complex. I grew up reading materials and buying from Joshua of course especially when there are sales and generous discount la since no Arabs wanted to donate me RM2.6 billion laaa. maybe will continue sometimes later. Not sure anyone is going to read my mini memoirs here ha ha ha. Extremely sorry if I wasted anyone precious time in reading what I wrote. From one of the Xaverians , Farquhar Street, Penang (1975-1979 standard 2-standard 6). Res...
Read moreI have been a customer of Mr Joshua for the past nine months. At least three times I have ordered books from Mr Joshua thus far, the latest being yesterday, 9.12.2020. And, the books - which, as usual, were couriered to my Penang office - reached me noon of 10.12.2020, in less than 24 hours! And, that's not because I have ordered books amounting to a very high value (merely two books this round, each costing around RM200.00 plus), but it's due to the attentiveness and efficiency on the part of Mr Joshua and his colleagues/employees. Bravo, Joshua Legal Art Gallery! I believe what I am going to say next, many lawyers will agree with, ie lawyers outside of Klang valley who do not have access to law books in the market - compared to our counterparts in the Klang valley - appreciate very much such effective service on the part of JLAG. Mr Joshua, do update us of new titles published from time to time, and of course we appreciate some discounts...
Read moreService excellent and expeditious. I ordered ystdy late afternoon and book arrived this morning, to my surprise! (I usually wait ages for other book stores). That was very fast and reliable.
Even the book was tied with a red ribbon and an artful masterpiece on the envelope with my receipt, very nice touch. Will keep the envelope as a bookmark 🤭
Previously, when I was running around the KL Courts, found the staff professional and helpful. Good to have a place I can get my law books now, from Joshua Legal Art Gallery -...
