It’s my 3rd time here at Stellar since the first soft launch opening. I’ve stayed in hexagon tent ⛺️, The nest caravan & this time luxe tent. Unfortunately, this time round feels the worst amongst all my previous trip here.

Why? Check in was much later than expected after 4pm and it was raining heavily in cameron with very bad traffic around to go anywhere else to wait and I’m currently pregnant as informed to the staff. Breakfast has slight improvement in terms of dishes being served such as cereals, nasi lemak, bee Hoon, toasted bread, sausages, baked beans ham etc with hot drinks however there is SOOOO MANY FLIES everywhere I even told the staff to get candles or dvd to chase flies away. Dinner is provided with our 1.5k stay for 2 nights in luxe tent which accomodate a 3pax but ingredients seem lesser than my previous stay and instant noodle shin ram yum only 1pk is provided 😅 I mean for the price to upgrade another 40+ per pax for better ingredients I don’t think it’s worth it, premium ingredients should be provided for glamping & caravan for the price people pay. It’s even better to stay and dine at Cameron Highland resort for a lower price with steamboat dinner tbh. Sharing toilets - there are 4 however it is all squatting toilet bowl which is not friendly towards pregnant or old people or kids. I mean this can be improved together with proper hot water shower instead of smelly & intermittent hot water shower. Luxe tent bed - it’s supposed to accomodate 3pax but thankfully only 2 of us stayed here for 2nights cos the bed for 3rd pax is like a stretcher that people use for ambulance instead of a proper bed or even air mattress. Our queen size mattress is comfy though. Stellar cafe- Its new here and nice to look at however looking at the menu, price and selections of reviews I don’t think I even wanna try it. I’m sorry probably need to improve on something more special as a cafe with cheaper local food price unless it’s something worth paying for.

It’s not all bad here as I still love it here and have been introducing many friends & family to come here from SG and other states in MY.

Here are some of the good things I’ve felt since my first trip here back in 2022.

Staff is always friendly & nice here, accomodates to request and assist you anytime. Tent, pillow, mattress, nature hike brand blankets and tent are all good quality 👍 Nest caravan was comfortable with own toilet 🚽 Dinner is served by staff on time directly to your unit and clean up is done by them too. Weather here and accessible to shops, night market nearby with cafe/ other hotels restaurant 👍

Suggestions that maybe management or owner can take into consideration so that loyal customers will come back again. Stellar loyal cust/ membership package rate stay for the year or few months allocation with priority booking or special request on occasions (include deco or better food etc) More activities area in the site (such as board games, mahjong, rummy, outdoor ping pong/ badminton/ volley ball or archery etc. bicycle or Vespa rental for guest. Can include Cameron local items with a mini shop here for guest to #supportlokal grown or made products Souvenir for guest (Instead of 1 keychain and bubble thingy) Can consider your stellar mug to be a gift but a better insulated quality one as the current one doesn’t work for hot drinks. Can also consider providing cheap raincoat for people here especially campsite people. Referral program or promo rates for weekdays or certain events. Event space for birthday, wedding etc with proper catering and deco team. Buggy service for guest to nearby attraction that can be affiliated to u guys.

Hope this helps other guests & management to consider for this place to be better and stay in the market for long as I heard it’s still expanding more...

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Stellar Golden Hill Starlux, and I would like to provide a detailed review of my experience. While there were certainly positive aspects, there were also several areas that need improvement.

Let's start with the positives. The hotel's design and visual appeal are noteworthy. The overall aesthetic is eye-catching, and it adds to the ambiance of the property. Additionally, I appreciated the effort put into creating a luxurious atmosphere.

However, there were several aspects of my stay that fell short of expectations. Firstly, I encountered an issue regarding communication about carpet cleaning. I was informed that an additional fee was required for this service, but there was no notice label indicating that wearing shoes was not allowed in the dome area. This resulted in some confusion and could have been better addressed to maintain cleanliness throughout the premises.

Furthermore, the lack of privacy near the construction area was concerning. Passersby could easily see into the bathroom, which compromised the comfort and privacy of guests. Measures should be taken to address this issue and ensure guests' privacy during their stay.

The quality of the glass used in the hotel structure was also disappointing. The glass was not cleaned thoroughly, resulting in water stains and marks that were visible throughout. For a hotel that aims to provide guests with breathtaking views, ensuring clean and clear glass is essential.

In terms of location, the Stellar Golden Hill Starlux is situated in an area with heavy traffic. Guests are required to navigate through this congested area before reaching the premises, which can be inconvenient and time-consuming. Exploring alternative routes or providing transportation options could greatly improve guests' arrival experience.

Additionally, the water quality at the hotel was a letdown. Despite the thoughtful inclusion of bath bombs, the water appeared yellowish, which was not appealing for bathing. Ensuring clean and clear water is essential to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay for guests.

Moreover, the room itself had some issues that impacted the overall luxury experience. The door was often stuck due to a plastic tube, making it difficult to open and close smoothly. Furthermore, the placement of a chandelier directly above the shower area added a sense of tension and unease. Lastly, there were pebble stones scattered on the floor, which created a potential hazard for guests and compromised their safety and convenience. Navigating around these pebble stones was inconvenient and increased the risk of falling. It is important for the hotel to address this issue and ensure a safer environment for guests during their stay.

In conclusion, while the Stellar Golden Hill Starlux has an attractive design and potential for a luxurious experience, there are areas that require improvement. Clear communication regarding policies and services, addressing privacy concerns, ensuring clean and clear glass, finding solutions to traffic issues, improving water quality, and addressing room-related issues such as the door and pebble stones would greatly enhance the overall guest experience. With these improvements, the hotel has the potential to provide a truly remarkable stay...

1️⃣ Customer service: Great customer service from their team! They tried their best to solve all our problems and fulfil our request. There are also workers around the tents/caravans ready to help so you don’t have to walk all the way to the reception when you need help. Rating: 5 stars for their service

2️⃣ Food: For the first day we booked via Agoda and the second day we booked via their website. For the agoda booking, we forgot to remark that two of us are vegetarians, so we had to personally request at the reception to add more vegetables for us. But for the website booking, we remarked there were two vegetarians, so they prepared vegetarian meat for us for the steamboat, which we are extremely thankful for. Their steamboat was also quite good. Rating: 5 stars for being so mindful in preparing vegetarian food!

3️⃣ Rooms: We stayed at the 3 person luxe tent for one night and cozy caravan for another night. The 3 pax luxe tent was good enough, it’s just that our room was right beside the shared toilets 😂 but it seems like they wash their toilet quite frequently, so there’s not much smell. The tent can get quite hot when it is noon time, but there’s a lot of space inside for us to lounge and sit about, with a big fan equipped. Cons - we had a noisy neighbor with a loud speaker, they played songs with heavy bass the whole time they were in 😂 ; not much view to see

The cozy caravan is a new experience for us. The view was so beautiful. A lot of private outdoor space to enjoy. But it was raining a lot on the second day, and the entrance from the dining space to the caravan was not covered, so we just hid inside the caravan most of the time. The caravan is small compared to the luxe tent, probably because there is a private bathroom. However, there is a problem with the heater (we probably don’t know how to operate it even though the staff showed us) but because we are lazy to ask for help so we went to the shared toilets to shower instead. The toilet 🚽 of the caravan also has some smell after we used it, though I think it is normal for all caravans. Maybe it is because the flushing power is not strong enough? Rating for luxe tent: 5 stars Rating for caravan: 3 stars (personally can’t stand the smell of toilets in a closed small space 🙁) Feedback for caravans: maybe they could buy a chemical to add to the toilets so that it won’t smell too bad in a closed small space

4️⃣ Price: We bought the rooms that came with breakfast and dinner, so the price isn’t that expensive, but I think the luxe tent would be worth the price more so compared to the caravan.

5️⃣ Environment & accessibility: Cool weather and peaceful surroundings. My father had a bad case of diarrhoea on the second day, so we had to find meds, pharmacies and clinics are readily accessible. Max 10mins drive from the place. I think maybe the company should start considering selling one time use hot packs, would make a good profit on rainy days. Also noted that there was a Friday night market 1-2mins drive away.
