I went to this place last Tuesday and this is my honest reviews.
Food. The food has variety of choice; lamb, chicken and beef. Not to mention seafood like crab, udang and many more. Selection of sauces, veggies, noodles and all kind of drinks! They also offer big cup of glass which I appreciate. They also has nasi goreng, fries, sausages, nuggets and corn cheese. And not to be forget strawberry chocolate. The tomyam is quite good as well. Kaw.
However, the foods was inconsistent. First round I took black pepper beef and the marination was so good. But when I took for beef for the second time, it was so bland. Dan sangat liat. Tolonglah potong daging ikut urat daging. Liat mengunyah pun tak boleh.
Environment The crowd was manageable but the buffet layout was narrow. Not easy to pick up foods without bumping to other desk. Mind you, each desk has hot boiling tomyam. For improvement, maybe change the buffet table to the center and the customer desk surrounding the table.
Cleanliness/ Hygiene Please put hygiene as your first priority. As paying customer, we paid rm40 per pax. At least please make sure all utensils like pinggan, pengepit kering, cawan tak berminyak........
Overall, for the first timer like us, it provide a new experience and we both were so full kenyang. Cuma tak la sedap sgt2. Ada sedap ada biasa2 je. Please be more consistent so next time boleh...
Read moreWe came on a weekday — Thursday, to be exact — but the place was still packed.
Luckily, they use a queue system where you register your name and receive a buzzer, so there's no need to wait outside the already crowded restaurant. We waited comfortably in our car, and once the buzzer went off, we headed straight to the counter for payment.
The menu here offers a wide variety of choices. We had the crabs and prawns — the meat was sweet and fresh. The marinated meats were also delicious. Honestly, I couldn't even tell which one was the best because we just took everything that looked good! Even after we returned to KL, the taste still lingered in our minds — haha. The desserts were decent, and there were plenty of drink options too.
That said, there were a few downsides. The cups and plates weren’t completely clean, and the tables were placed too close to each other. We kept bumping backs with the people behind us, and with the crowd, it didn’t feel very relaxing to dine in.
But since the food was really good, we were willing to overlook those flaws.
The staff were friendly and attentive despite being clearly busy. There were many of them, constantly moving around, yet they still managed to serve with a smile and...
Read moreThe steamboat shop offers an attractive and budget-friendly dining experience with an all-you-can-eat pricing model: RM40 per adult and RM25 for kids above 6, while kids below 6 eat for free. Additionally, the cheese add-on is RM10, which is a steal considering the very generous portion provided.
The variety of food is impressive. You can enjoy a wide range of options, including chicken, mutton, beef, seafood, and an assortment of vegetables. Desserts like ice cream and chocolate-dipped strawberries are available, among other treats. The seating area is adequate, making for a comfortable dining experience.
However, there are some notable downsides. The floor tends to be slippery, posing a potential hazard. Some of the seafood options aren't as fresh as one would hope. The biggest concern is the cleanliness of the utensils; many are not properly cleaned and have visible chili stains and oily...
