Very strategic location and very well maintained campsite.. bathroom is spacious and has water heater which is essential for the weather there.. place is windy even without rain..

Stayed there with family for 2 nights.. first night was very pleasant and serene, where campers observed lights out and kept the peace..

Unfortunately, second night inconsiderate campers came in.. played music and talked loudly even after midnight.. since the campsite is relatively small and lots are side by side, can hear every conversation loud and clear.. coupled with a storm during the night, unable to get any sleep..

This is by far the strongest wind speed I experienced out of my 20+ camping trips.. my flysheet held up fine but was torn by the strong wind as shown in the pic..

Giving only 4 stars since throughout my 3 days stay, didn't get to meet any on-site camp assistant.. some CO in other campsites would have advised the campers to observe lights out but for this case, I had to confront the...

This review is right after my 4th trip to Hola.

Hola is a fantastic campsite with amenities above average.

Toilets are clean with hot showers available. The camp ground is generally well maintained.

Rubbish bins are available and disposed daily by the hardworking supervisor, Lai.

Some useful tips if you’re planning to visit Hola:

✅ Temperature can drop as low as 13C at night for a couple of hours. So pack appropriate clothes and sleeping gear. ✅ There are shops and convenience stores nearby at Barrington Square. About a 3 minute drive. ✅ There are communal fire pits available but you’d have to bring or source for your own firewood.

✅ Lighting is minimal at campsite so a headlamp is usually quite helpful.

✅ Toilets have solar lights.

✅ Use 30cm or 40cm pegs. It can get quite windy therefore securing your tent and flysheet is critical for an enjoyable camping experience at Hola.

I post more visuals on...

Rating 3 – The landscape is beautiful, but there are a lot of small snails and other small creatures in the bushes, and they ended up inside our air tent, which was unpleasant.

Rating: 5 – The view and ambiance were fantastic. It’s so cold at night that you don’t even need a fan. The views in the morning and evening were great, especially if the sky is clear.

Rating: 2 – The toilet facilities were disappointing. In one word: DIRTY. Unfortunately, I also found leech on my body after taking a shower, which was shocking !!!

Rating: 2 – The service was lacking. Trash wasn’t picked up every day; it was only collected on the last day when we checked out.

There are semi-wild dogs around the camping area. They’re not very disturbing, but they can be quite noisy at night, making it...

Stayed 3D2N at their campsite 2.0. It is very quiet, minimal lights n perimeter r fenced. It is a basic campsite with 2 wash basins n 3 toilets/showers. They even provide water heater so no worries taking shower but advice to take early as it will get cold due to strong wind fr 7pm onwards. Temp during the day is ard 21-23C with light cool air blowing but still need to wear sun block. At nite, temp can varies btw 16-18C n with strong wind blowing East n West direction. U need to anchor ur flysheet poles with extra ropes. For anchoring the tent, best to use btw 20-30cm pegs. No point using 40 as the ground is very hard after 25cm depth. Hola is ideal campsite as it is near Ringlet, Tanah Rata n Brinchang. Got to visit a few places n makan places as well.
