I've stayed with them on many occasions, and I must say, I was hooked on the hotel from my first visit. I was always well looked after by the previous manager (I'll refrain from naming names as it might lead to my comment being removed), a really helpful guy who always made sure our stays were smooth. He assisted me several times, even responding late at night. He helped me arrange additional services like massages or transportation, and he never took a commission or asked for an extra tip. I always make my reservations through Airbnb. Everything was fine until this last time.|I stayed there in early February, and due to personal reasons, I needed to extend my stay by three days at the end of the month. I was attended by a lady at the reception who said she was the general manager. She persuaded me to book those three days directly with them, offering me a rate too good to pass up, which I couldn't find online. However, after I agreed to book, she mentioned that I could only pay in cash, which I found odd since I'd always paid by card before. She then offered a massage service and was quite persuasive about hiring it. When I agreed, she charged me a rate of $150 USD, also in cash. My wife took the massage, and while the service was excellent, we asked the masseuse for her contact to use her services in the future. She gave us her card and mentioned that the massage cost was actually $95 USD. I felt ripped off. I understand that hotels take a commission for arranging such services, but this seemed like daylight robbery. Finally, at checkout, I asked to leave two hours after the standard checkout time, as my flight was later—a request I had made before without charge. The manager agreed but informed me of a $30 USD extra charge, again in cash.|Truthfully, these issues had never arisen in my previous visits or my Airbnb bookings, and it felt like the hotel was trying to take advantage of every service to charge me extra.|I'm compelled to make this comment in hopes that it will be considered since I am a frequent guest. I love the place and will likely return, but I strongly advise against booking...
Read moreWe have stayed in Marella Cabo apartments in our family visit to Baja California. The apartments is fully equipped and looks really nice inside. Nice bedrooms with good interiors. It has swimming pool and also Jacuzzi on the terrace (we have not used it as we visited this place in summer). Our special thanks goes to "Enrique Berrones", who have gone above and beyond in helping us in recommending local festival recommedations, book last minute show tickets and also provide regular updates over Whatsapp before checkin and during the stay ifor any queries.||It is conveniently located on the main highway between 2 major cities (Cabo San Lucas and San Cabo). There is a small convenience store, very good burrito place and a foreign currency exchange place just by the entrance which is very convenient. Wild Canyon and few other beaches are close by as well, which is an added benefit. Since majority of Mexico asks for cash, it is good to convert from your currency to Mexican pesos in the foreign currency exchange by the entrance.|| I highly recommend this place for families and I'll gladly stay at this place if I ever visit Baja...
