Well to start the service is terrible, at least thats how it was in my experience. I arrived and nobody cared to welcome me or even give me the menu. I had to ask for it, and the waiter that attended me didnt even mention its specialties. He had a terrible attitude, no service attitude. When my chips and salsa arrived, the salsa was great but the chips were not crispy some felt as if they still needed more frying. I ordered a cocktail shrimp and it was good, i can't argue with that. Then i ordered some chicken wings and i told my waiter i wanted the buffalo type, and he heard BBQ, so i told him again that i wanted Buffalo not BBQ. So there i was trying to enjoy the semi-crisp chips and salsa when all of a sudden another waitress that i hadn't even seen before brought some Guacamole with chips to my table. I was surprised and asked what was that and she replied 'guacamole' but i asked as she was walking away its this courtesy of the restaurant or what but had no answer. I seriously thought they had given it to me courtesy of the house and when i started to eat, which i did eat two chips with guacamole, my actual waiter comes and takes it away and tells me there was a misunderstanding and takes the plate away. I completely understood and honestly was glad they took it away, cause it was too sour, and when finally my wings arrived, i noticed the texture or color didnt match the buffalo style wings im used to seing. So i go ahead and taste it and I come to the realization that they were BBQ flavored. So, this time I call the waiter and explain to him that I had ordered Buffalo not BBQ. He politely said he would fix the problem, and it didnt take long for my "Buffalo" wings to get to my table. So there i was again trying to enjoy my Buffalo flavored wings when i realized that they were the same wings just with a bit of a spicy flavor to them. They had used the same BBQ wings they had took the first place and just added a different sauce and combined the flavors. You might be able to trick a little kid but not a grown man that knows about Hot wings. So i just sat there and decided that i was going try to enjoy those wings even though the taste wasn't all that great, since they weren't going to really give me what i had ordered. I thought of this action as highly unprofessional and like if it was some sort of joke to them. The waiter was with the waitress that had accidentally took the guacamole to my table laughing and looking towards me as if i had fallen for their trick! If they don't like serving people i suggest they find another job. When i asked for my bill, i asked to speak with the cook to give my opinion on the worst Buffalo wings i had ever tasted. The waiter instead brought some other guy who didn't even present himself to me and i gave him my opinion. He said he was not the cook but he wanted to see what was wrong so i let him know about the wrong take of my order and the horrible taste of their wings. I honestly didn't feel like the waiter disserved a tip but i left him the change that i had in my pocket which wasn't much and i expressed my honest opinion about his service and gave him a bigger tip. I told him to better his service attitude since he lives off the tips people leave for him. He just expressed his unpleasant reaction with a face gesture and left. I've read some of the reviews for this restaurant and maybe I just had bad luck with the waiter that...
Read moreWe were skeptical coming here because the restaurant is in a very touristy spot together with many other touristy looking eateries, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food is very good. It is (I believe) a type of cuisine that is more typical of Northern Mexico, so it was a nice change from the more local style of cuisine. We ordered a beef burrito and a combination beef plate (carne asada) that came with rice, beans, and a simple salad. Both dishes were very good and the price was reasonable. Good atmosphere and very lively music. There were many tourists but also a healthy sprinkling of obvious locals, which is always a good sign. The only negative thing to note is that our waiter attempted to bamboozle us when it came time to pay the bill. We asked for the receipt and he gave us the printout with his handwritten addition of the tip, which was for 20%. We asked him about this and he made up some nonsense reason for it and we told him "no, we decide what is the tip." We proceeded to pay after that without incident. But he was quick to take his doctored receipt off the table and away with him when he left our tableside. For this sneaky attempt, we have removed one star from the overall rating. Too bad, because otherwise, it really would have been an...
Read moreMi Pueblito, this breakfast, seafood, meat and tacos restaurant, is located on Av. Tulum. The price to consume in this establishment is from $100 MX or more, but this is reflected in the quality of the ingredients, the level of service offered and the experience, as well as in the atmosphere that is very relaxed, colorful using things colorful and mainly with a very Mexican decoration. The truth is, I loved the level of the atmosphere, because the staff that attended was very attentive and helpful at all times, as well as the service was fast that they even offered us some complimentary drinks; They were kind, really, and very pleasant. As for the presentation of the food, it is okay, but they could do more to attract customers to the restaurant. To conclude, it is a cozy corner in gastronomy, which I really recommend, if you want to spend a moment with your family, friends or your partner, and you are just looking to enjoy your senses in a serene environment and...
