I've been meaning to write this review since August. Every year, we visit Dante to buy ourselves a new piece of jewelry. And every year we are always pleased with the gorgeous works of art that he makes. The prices are reasonable and real....not a rip off like the tourist traps that are all over the island. You will never find someone hustling from Mr. Opal. You will never be pressured. And the price is the price, there's no haggling because you don't need to. Not only is Dante the nicest, sweetest person in the world, he also helped us pack a statue that we purchased (elsewhere) for safe traveling on a plane. He did this out of the goodness of his heart. Cristina and her daughter truly exceeded all expectations! Initially, I visited their store without any specific intentions, but their evident passion and dedication towards their craft completely won me over. I was inspired to select a stunning small opal for my necklace. They skillfully customized the opal to perfectly fit my necklace, which understandably required a brief wait of two days. WARNING This place will screw you bad. We stayed at a resort and left our wrist bands on (our mistake). A young clean cut man spotted us out acting like he worked there and saw us there and brought us to his mom's store. We fell for it. Long story short they sold us fake tequila, a bracelet that broke when we got back to the hotel and didn't bag a pair of earrings we purchased and on top that my expensive thermo cooler that I had water in was stolen right from the store.
