UPDATE: I went to Isla for a day trip and went back to picas (I wrote the original review 10 months ago) so less than a year went by and the quality went down hill completely. I ordered the coconut shrimp and so did my MIL, both were terrible. Extremely overcooked and dry. Jaw hurt from chewing so much. My partner got the fajitas and she said they tasted nothing like how they did last year. Flavour was so bland. Other family members ordered the burger and they both said it wasn’t very good either. All 8 of us did not enjoy our meals. Picas has gone down hill very fast. I would not eat here again. Been here twice already with the family! Amazing flavours, fast service, beautiful atmosphere and good prices for the amount of food! I ordered the coconut shrimp and have no complaints. I don’t like rice or beans so they swapped it out for fries. Girlfriend had the chicken fajitas (for the second time) and said they’re definitely the best she’s ever had. Brother had garlic fish and it was extremely flavourful and delicious! There were no leftovers because when one person was full the others would eat the rest lol. I highly recommend this place!

Great value for money. Tasty fajitas. Nice local restaurant on Isla mujeres beach bear the ferry terminal. Live music during all the day. More ventilation can help to feel cooler during eating. Accept credit card without any extra fees. Exceptional service, we receive exactly what we ordered in less than 10 minutes. I would recommend anyone this restaurant for a quick lunch or dinner in Isla mujeres.

My lunch at Picus Seafood in Isla Mujeres was deeply disappointing and frankly, unacceptable. The fish fillet was shockingly bland, resembling cheap, frozen supermarket white fish, with no effort made in its presentation or flavor enhancement. The calamari was a disaster - not only flavorless, but dangerously prepared with long, fiber-like threads, almost causing me to choke. This was hands down the worst seafood meal I have ever endured. To make matters worse, the virgin piña colada was an overly sweet, coconut essence-laden disaster, far from what one would expect. This experience at Picus Seafood was not just a letdown, but a complete culinary fiasco. I strongly advise against visiting this establishment and suggest others to seek out the numerous better quality seafood options available in...

After living here three years I have finally found the best restaurant for seafood!!! This is the most well prepared freshest food, the best service, fresh cocktail ingredients, and the best atmosphere (live festive local music daily on the sandy beach), and lo and behold the best price!! Just the nicest people and the best food! Pick your LIVING lobster from a tank.... choose your fish before being cooked. I Can't believe it's on Rueda Medina as most all the other places here are not worth it, to say the least!! And these wonderful people DELIVER their great food! I love love love PICUS... A happy, satisfying, fun, relaxing experience! Tell them Marcia with the fiat sent you. (a past michelin manager) look for the new smallblue and red...
