City Market Plaza Carso — Local services in Mexico City

DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES AT THIS MARKET. They have a very short return policy, other than that, City Market is a great supermarket. I do most of my shopping here and also at Chedraui (which I'd prefer, if I had to choose between the two). This store in Polanco es very chic and beautiful. All the sections are excellent but the bakery, the deli and the wine sections are just perfect. I also enjoy browsing the home goods shelves. There's an oyster bar but I have never ordered anything there (maybe because I've never seen people eating at that bar, it just doesn't seem very popular, at least not at the times of day I usually...

Very nice variety especially on speciality items difficult if not impossible to find in other supermarkets. We had some pastries and capachinos. I did not find the pastries that good. The chocolatines were dry and I don't think they were made with real butter. Those made by Kaiser are the real deal and well worth a few extra pesos. Otherwise there was an outstanding choice in cheeses and dry sausages. Also found fresh Italian basil and mint. Two items not always available in the mercados. Lots of other fresh herbs i. e. Rosemary and tarragon as well as fresh greens, baby spinach, baby carrots, kale and...

Absolutely love this supermarket! There's a fantastic range of products, beautifully presented in nice wide aisles, Obviously there's upmarket and imported products, but there's also a fair amount of standard products, all of which are reasonably priced, more or less the same as in other supermarkets. There are things here that I've been searching for for years, and I'm so happy to have found them in Mexico finally! The bread is amazing, the coffee is delicious, the fruit and veg are all fresh, the service is great; I could go on and on about how wonderful...
