La Imperial Plaza Carso — Restaurant in Mexico City

I really like coming to La Imperial in Plaza Carso — it’s a solid spot with tasty food, good service, and a nice vibe overall. It’s the kind of place I find myself coming back to regularly.

The staff is friendly, the dishes are well-prepared, and it’s a good choice for both casual meals and work lunches. Their menu has plenty of variety and the drinks are great too.

The only thing that really ruins the experience is a loud, annoying alarm that goes off every two minutes. I have no idea what it’s for, but it never stops — and nobody seems to turn it off. It completely breaks the atmosphere and honestly takes away a star or two from what could be a much better...

I don’t like eating inside malls so I was a bit reluctant to come, but my friends really recommended it. The food is quite good. I loved the fideo seco because it was tasty and not spicy. I also liked the tacos dorados and the mole (but it’s spicy!). If you have space for dessert, make sure you try the corn bread (panqué de elote). It was great. Prices are a bit high, but average for the area. If you don’t drink you can spend around $150 in the dinner. The service was good, and the place was almost empty on Monday night. Very nice meat I had today for lunch. New york cut recommended by the waiter who attended me. It came with a good portion of salad, onion and some green chiles. They changed for me the chiles to guacamole. The portion of guacamole was small but it's ok. It wasal a 400 grams cut and at the end I had an Americano with a not too sweetened "corn" (elote, maíz) cake. It was really good. I'll probably come back.
