Oh, let me tell you about the fantastic time we had at the Traditional Cooking Class in Mexico City with Mexican Food Tours!

The cooking class was an absolute blast! The class was held in a charming, authentic kitchen in the heart of Mexico City, and the atmosphere was just so warm and inviting. Our instructor was a culinary expert and very funny.

We got to dive deep into the world of traditional Mexican cuisine, and I can't believe how much I learned in just a few hours. From making tortillas from scratch to creating mouthwatering guacamole, every step of the process was hands-on and so much fun. Plus, we got to use fresh, locally sourced ingredients – a real farm-to-table experience! Walking the market to pick out our ingredients and learn about the quality of the produce was educational.

The highlight, of course, was devouring the dishes we prepared. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the most delicious meal we had in Mexico City. The flavors were incredible, and it was so satisfying to know that we had a hand in creating these culinary masterpieces.

To top it all off, Mexican Food Tours provided a recipe booklet with all the dishes we made during the class. So now, we can recreate those incredible flavors in our kitchen, and we can't wait to show off our newfound skills to family and friends.

All in all, the Traditional Cooking Class with Mexican Food Tours was an unforgettable experience that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting Mexico City. Whether you're a seasoned chef or a total beginner, you'll have an amazing time, learn a lot, and eat some of the most delicious food you've ever tasted. It's a must-do activity for any food lover exploring the vibrant culinary...

This was an amazing experience! We started with a trip to the market where we learned about and tasted traditional Mexican ingredients including Chef’s mole spice blend. After selecting the ingredients for our meal, we visited a tortilleria for masa.

The kitchen where we cooked was in the most exquisite old building owned by an artist whose work was displayed throughout. It was a magical place and the kitchen with its old tile and soaring ceilings was dreamy.

Chef put us to work prepping ingredients and rewarded us with a tomatillo cocktail. We prepped the masa and pressed tortillas on an 100 year old press. We prepared a filling for tetelas, and a vegan taco filling of chopped zucchini blossoms, cuitlacoche, tomatoes and more. Prickly pear cocktails were served while everything was plated.

We ate chicken and Chef’s mole (the absolute best we’ve ever tasted) with tetelas, and vegan tacos, and enjoyed a frothy coffee and tequila digestif in this splendid setting and company. Laughing, drinking, cooking, eating. It’s the best that life offers.

The best part of it all was our Chef Eduardo and Sous Chef George. Their English was perfect, and they were both hilarious. Eduardo also has two masters degrees in the culinary arts - one in traditional Mexican cooking. His knowledge and passion for his craft is inspiring and we learned so much. Thank you Chefs for a truly...

Where do we start…we are foodies!! This tour did NOT disappoint! First, our tour guide was Victor. We felt so incredibly lucky for he is a “chef” by trade. He KNOWS food!!! He was SO personable and shared so much about the food and culture. This tour was SO MUCH more then we expected! The food…it was DELICIOUS!! It did NOT disappoint. AND Victors personal recommendations were on point at every destination. Highly recommend and ask for Victor to be your guide! Finally, the community that he created with all of the guests…WE HAD A BLAST!!! This was the food tour that confirmed that we will eat our way around the world as we continue our tours around the globe. This allows us to view the different cultures in so many ways as it fills our bellies and our souls. 😋☺️. Thank you to Victor! 🙏

This was an absolutely fantastic evening. Eduardo was amazing, I felt like I learned so much, especially some of the details about the gastronomy of Mexican food. We started at 5pm and went to the local market to buy supplies. Even learning how to pick out tomatoes, Tomatillos, onions. I’ve cooked a lot before and yet learned so much last night. Thanks again! Highly recommend his experience, I’ll definitely be back.

We loved our tour! Victor took us around Polanco in Mexico City, he was extremely knowledgeable and told us not just about the food but also the culture and history of Mexico City/local areas and their people. We tried several different dishes, all of which we enjoyed, many were new to us and we were definitely full by the end of the tour. It was great to see the area of Polanco too.
