2 adults and 2 kids all of whom got sick with diarrhea and bad stomach aches after eating here. Service was poor and the wait for the food was super long, almost 40 minutes for the first hot plate to come to the table. We got beef fajitas, crab cakes, deluxe nachos, pan de ajo, and guac. The guac came with salsa which we didn’t order and they put it in the same bowl so the guacamole was all wet with tomato sauce and tasted weird and not fresh at all. The crab cakes were covered with weird sauce all over the plate and did not taste well together. The beef fajitas were the worst tasting beef I have ever had in my life, the consistency was very strange too and too salty. The pan de ajo was covered with oil and didn’t taste fresh. Overall this was a terrible experience combined with the heat and wait times, there is much better LOCAL Mexican restaurants and kitchens that will give you a true Mexican cuisine experience. Also WAY WAY WAY overpriced, avoid spending...
Read moreGood food and very mellow location . Alejandro provided excellent service. UPDATE: Back again for round 2 ,a couple months later . Again, impressed by the very relaxing open air environment. The food was good but not great. The exception was the crab cake appetizer. Very tasty , loaded with crab which was located on a stripe of unique and smooth mango sauce. House salad was ok . Lacked something I couldn't put my finger on . The fajitas were ok too. A Teeny, tiny fried cuplet which held micro amounts of guacamole and salsa accompanied the fajitas ( see picture). In a town with mega fajita choices this ranks a middling choice. Not great / not bad. Prices were reasonable but a bit spendier than up or down the road. I felt there was a lack of value for the money Final take...come for the crab cakes and the ambiance but go to Zenizas for fajitas or any number of better choices in...
Read moreHorribly cooked lobster. I have eaten here for 10 years and their food has always been consistent. Splurged on my fav - Pacific lobster. It was grossly undercooked in parts and overcooked in others. I explained the error & they graciously tried again - when I got it back, it was the same lobster- the undercooked parts were well done and the previously overcooked parts were inedible. I pointed this out to waiter. He disappeared w/ the plate & said "just a minute." I never heard from him again & finally begged for the check.
Upon paying, I confirmed he understood the error w/ the lobster and he assured me he did. No effort to bring me something else or rectify the situation was made. I paid $100 for an inedible lobster. Our other food was familiar- cooked well. Drinks were not as well done or large as they had been in October and May.
Sadly...
