We walked past this place and immediately got drawn in from the BBQ going out the front of the restaurant! Traditional Mexican/Oaxachan dishes, plus delicious BBQ ribs stole our hearts! The service was great, we met Jesús who was serving and grilling, who was lovely! They do craft beers too, if that's your thing! The restaurant is on the main strip in Rinconada, so lots of places to stop in along the way after dinner! Highly recommend this place, it was a stand-out meal for our entire time here in Mexico, thank you Jesús!! 🙏🏾☺️

We started with the Gordita de Pulpo con chicharrón. Packed with flavours that tastefully blended together. Then the chef roasted a Red Snapper in front of our eyes that was caught in the morning. The fish was tender and delicate, but very tasty(!) To finish off this amazing meal, we shared the ceviche. This was a refreshing last note on the journey of home cooked Mexican food.

Nearly every table was taken on a Sunday, so you know this place is good. Indeed it was - we got the catch of the day and the fish tacos, as well as the gordito de pulpo. Fish was very very fresh, and very large portions. My only comment is the catch of the day could have had a bit more flavour/salsa. However we asked for some salsa and were provided a delicious hot sauce.

My partner and I got a meal at Nana Pancha while we were staying in the nearby Bacocho neighborhood, and loved the experience so much we came back several times in our ten-day stay! We tried just about every other restaurant on La Rinconada during our visit (including some higher-priced ones) but none of them came anywhere close to how much we enjoyed the food and atmosphere of Nana Pancha.

The servers and staff were super friendly and laid-back, the price was right, and most importantly the food was stupendous! The ceviche in particular was mind-blowing, and the person running the grill did a fantastic job grilling the fresh fish, shrimp, etc. So tasty. Thanks to the Nana Pancha team for being so relaxed, welcoming,...

We had the mole negro and tlayuda. The tlayuda was excellent, charcoal charred, with an excellent combination of flavours. The mole negro was good but a bit too chocolate-ty for my taste and could have been a bit more velvety.

Service was top notch and friendly. I didn’t get the name of the waiter but he might have been the chef as well as he charred the tlayuda on the BBQ - and provided a charming personal touch. The waitress was also excellent and informed about the beer pairings.

Overall good portion sizes and decent value for the price. A compostable takeaway box was provided for the other half of my tlayuda. Recommended and...

We really wanted to like this place, but it greatly let us down. There appeared to be only two people working in the restaurant one front of house and one back of house. That should have been fine because there were only two occupied tables - ours with 3 people and another with 1 person. However, the waiter kept forgetting our orders (forgot our appetizer until the end of the meal, forgot our first & second orders of drinks). The fish we ordered (both catch of the day and fish tacos) were overcooked and tough. The rest of the food and margaritas were just mediocre. Service was very very slow. There are many better...
