Holbox Shuttle - Cancun Airport — Local services in Quintana Roo

Terrible experience. Not at all safe. The shuttle from Holbox to the airport was sold as a transfer that takes 2 hours. We did arrive after 2 hours but it really should have taken 2.5 hours. The driver was constantly over the speed limit, often by 50km/hour!!!!. He was eating nachos whilst driving, he took both hands off the steering wheel multiple times throughout the journey to open or close his water bottle. He overtook safely but that's the only positive thing can say about his driving. At one point he was driving 120km/h on a road where the limit was 80km/h and decided that it was completely fine to take a VIDEO call over WhatsApp at the same time. Didn't even slow down. This is all on extremely bumpy roads in a van with 7 passengers including two 7-year old children. God knows how we managed to arrive in one piece. Very very stressful and uncomfortable ride. Excellent customer service and Professional driver! Will definitely be my go-to for transport to the island and back to the airport. Jesus answered my email questions about ferry schedules and late flight arrivals very quickly and completely. We booked and paid online a few days before our flight. They arranged the ferry tickets and a taxi from the ferry dock to our hotel. One less thing on my to-do list so I could get started relaxing! The prices are reasonable and well worth the time and energy I saved. Oliver picked us up from the airport. He had a sign with my name on it. We had great experiences booking Holbox Shuttle. Andre picked us up at Cancun Airport and drove us to the Holbox ferry, he was so friendly. Francisco picked us up for the return and was incredibly kind and helpful. The vans are clean and the instructions are very clear. They both were waiting exactly as planned with signs with my name on them. They provided child seats as requested and offered to make stops as needed for our kids. Other reviews complaining about how the driving is “reckless” is inaccurate - overtaking slower vehicles and moving to the other lane to avoid potholes is how everyone drives in Mexico.
