Letras Holbox — Attraction in Quintana Roo

Tipps for Holbox: Make sure to check the weather before traveling to Holbox. We had 3 week without rain prior to our arrival at Holbox. Since the whole island is built on sand, it’s prettiest during the dry season. We went there the first week of December and it was absolutely beautiful! We stayed close to the center, which was perfect. Only a 3 min walk to the cafes, restaurants, etc.

The bioluminescence was visible, but not very bright. The pictures you see online are all photoshopped. But it’s still pretty cool to experience! Make sure to book a tour there & don’t walk on your own: the water puddles are massive on the way so you really don’t want to step in there with your bare feet. We payed about 13 Dollars per person including the shuttle. Absolutely worth it. Be aware of the mosquitos though! Get a bottle of “OFF” Repellent at a local pharmacy. You’ll definitely need it every day and night on the island.

The 3 island tour also was awesome! We saw literally hundreds of fish at this Cenote.

Booked full day trip to Holbox with TUI. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this trip! Holbox is like paradise (one of the two remote island spots they take you to is called Paradise beach (other was mosquito island - but dont worry no actual mosquitos there, just a remote island that is like a castaway island). Holbox itself is an island north of cancun and is like a backpackers beach resort. We had speedboat trip round the two remote spots, then golf buggy trip around part of Holbox itself, before free time and lunch included at a local beach hotel with pool. Then return fast catamaran ferry back to mainland for return journey to resort. A great day out and somewhere i would love to stay for a week...

Tiburón ballena: Holbox es uno de los mejores lugares para nadar con el tiburón ballena, el pez más grande del mundo, durante su temporada (mayo a septiembre).

Avistamiento de aves: Es hogar de numerosas especies de aves, como flamencos, pelícanos y fragatas, que se pueden observar en la isla o en la cercana Isla Pájaros.

Pueblo de Holbox: El centro del pueblo tiene calles de arena, coloridas casas pintadas y murales vibrantes, ofreciendo un ambiente bohemio y acogedor.
