Thank you for your kind words. We deeply regret that you have experienced being robbed.
We understand your concern about the pricing of our products. However, it's important to consider the unique context of the Everest region. Unlike bustling cities like Kathmandu, the Everest region experiences a stark seasonal cycle. We would like to clarify our position to all people who would come across this review.
First thing is before you compare product , you need to know from where it is made. How it is made . Why we market it as premium & sell it as premium product. How much we earn in this region ?
All our mugs are made from one of the nepal top handmade ceramic mug producer. Who has very limited capacity. It can only produce certain number of cup in a year. But good thing is it ensures that quality of cup being produced are best in nepal. Because of it s limited capacity we can get only 400 to 500 mugs year because if its high demand from all the top coffee shop in nepal. Then This cup need to be packed well. We shipped them to lukla via airplane . From lukla porter carry them to namche . I think you've seen and experianced the pain and cost.
Each mugs contains the logo of Everest yak . Which means you bought from the authentic local store located in the lap of everest.Thats why it is little expensive than other cup also concider quality of the product which similer in looks but small in size that you posted picture along with the review but is not the same quality since design and color can copy because of low copywrite system and cut throt compition.
Our cup are for only those who understand & appreciate local economy value & Appreciate local people who try to make living in place where tourist season lasts only for 4 months in year. For 8 months we have to live & look after our family from the earning we earned from 4 months in a year. So after all the hardwork , we are able to save hardly $3000 to $4000 a year . Thats why all the young people are leaving nepal & try their best to go & settle in europe , america. saudi , qatar. There are very few who are trying their best to not leave nepal & everest region so that you tourist can eat , drink & get the best expereince here in Everest. So if you can't support local business then at least dont discourage them by puting irelevant , mis informative review.

Read moreEverest Yak was a great find and a pleasant surprise in Namche Bazaar! I was on the Everest Base Camp trek and happened upon Everest Yak on my first afternoon after arriving in Namche. Nima, the store owner, was so hospitable! I chose some of the high quality, locally made goods (some yak wool scarves, some yak figurines, and some Everest paintings) and, while Nima packaged my purchases up, his wife brought me a mug of hot chocolate from their YakBuck coffee shop that is adjacent to the store! I sat sipping hot chocolate while talking to Nima. He even offered to keep the packages for me to pick on my return trip from EBC a week later. I highly recommend Everest Yak as a clean, bright, friendly store that offers high quality, ...
