Golden Bend — Local services in Amsterdam

I have totally mixed feelings about this place: my heart goes for 5 stars, my mind for few less. Let me explain you why. On one hand it is a one big mine of amazing treasures, unique pieces, inspiration and something you have surely never seen in your life. On the other hand: it’s overwhelming, pretty risky to walk between the piles of ceramics, and you can hardly pick something to check it, without a risk of breaking things.

I went there during winter wearing boots and long coat. Oh my, how sweaty I got maneuvering between the china!

The owner is very friendly & helpful. Somehow she knows her way around the place even with eyes closed and if you are looking for specific items, she knows...

If you enjoy looking for antique plates and pottery, this will be your place!

The lady and owner is knowledgeable on the wares and is friendly.

This is not a place to bring kids though, there is hardly any space to move about due to the sheer number of products.

You have to be very very careful when shuffling about the place, although I guess it adds to the experience when you hear a "clink" from a set of plates that you've grazed next...

So charming, so many teacups, plates and teapots to choose from! And they're all in really great condition. There are a range of prices but with such a huge variety, I think everyone can find something. The layout of the store, however, is nerve-wracking.
