Chocolaterie De Lelie — Restaurant in Delft

The little shop is a gathering place for locals; an evening treat destination. A good selection of creative flavors is listed so you can decide while you wait. I saw very long lines and no wait, too. The line is probably because they only have 2 young staff doing a lot of work; preparing the ice-cream and being cashiers. The flavors I selected were very good, yet not above average. I selected a 1/2 liter tub, 3 flavors- I wanted 4 and they declined. Small cones are 3 flavors if you want, so the big container could hold 4 or 5 flavors. In all, it is not a great value or service but...

Tried the Delft and pistachio flavours, definitely can see why these are the top selling flavours. Very rich and creamy but not too sweet.

Shop also sells a variety of sweets, candies and confectioneries inside. A definite must visit for those with a sweet tooth.

The menu blinks by way too quickly and is only available in Dutch it's probably alot easier to just approach the staff on...

The ice cream taste wise was not bad don’t get me wrong but it was too thick, firm and heavy. I couldn’t finish it and felt like crap after. If you prefer light ice cream or just wanna enjoy some ice cream during summer, this might make you feel guilty or stuffed. Taste wise it’s alright....
