After hearing great reviews, my partner and I drove from South Auckland to Henderson to try Hunch Munch. Unfortunately, the experience was a letdown. Upon arrival, we noticed a busy atmosphere with people waiting for their orders.

Inside, I was shocked to see the dirty state of the place. Flies were buzzing around, and I managed to capture a photo of a couple lingering around the area. The grill, benches, and floor were all filthy. To make matters worse, I stood there for a while before anyone bothered to take my order.

Considering the poor management and unsanitary conditions, I'm glad I didn't end up ordering anything. The owners seemed overwhelmed, struggling to keep up with orders. Needless to say, we won't be returning. Not recommended due to cleanliness and...

This place is seriously underrated! It may not stand out or look like much from the outside! But you know the saying about the book! My family and I absolutely love it here! The food is always fresh, packed with flavour, and never disappoints.

My absolute favourite? The birria tacos—hands down! You get two generously filled tacos loaded with tender brisket, melted cheese, and just the right amount of onion and coriander. They come with a side of guacamole, salsa, and a rich, flavourful consommé that ties everything together perfectly. That consommé? Absolutely fab—so hearty and delicious! It's a seriously satisfying meal. I always demolish my plate before remembering to take a photo—every single time! 🤣 We’ve also tried their chicken burgers, and wow, they are massive!!

Son went earlier today, came by and told us to try it out so we drove from south Auckland and tried it. Upon entering the place it is very deceiving, it looks like some run down fish shop in the back streets of otahuhu, but I can't say the same about the food! If I passed away and went to heaven eating a burger, it would be here! The double cheeseburger is in a league of its own, no fancy lettuce or tomato, we're talking home made smash patties with melted cheese on soft fresh buttery bun, then the fries, omgosh every fry was perfectly seasoned, the chichiron pork was crazy good, the pork bites are soft melt in your mouth with a crunch of crackling in sweet soy sauce its just blowing my mind that this place isn't known. It is definitely a must try!! We're never eating another burger anywhere else but here it's now our favorite joint. Go try it,...
