Extremely Disappointed – Burnt Food & No Accountability

I ordered two burgers from this place yesterday, and I was honestly shocked at the quality. Both burgers were burnt black—completely inedible and bitter. How can you serve food like that and still charge full price? For a place that sells $15 burgers, the least you expect is that they’re properly cooked.

To make matters worse, I tried calling multiple times for over half an hour, and no one picked up. Eventually, I went to the store to place my order in person, and even then I asked the staff why they weren’t answering calls. I was told they were “busy,” but I saw the person just on their phone—not even attempting to check or respond.

I also tried calling again the next day to give feedback, and again, no response. No call back, no apology.

This was a terrible experience—not just with the food, but the complete lack of service and accountability. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this needed to be said.

Can the owner please share a direct contact number or email address so I can raise this with them personally? I really hope this is taken seriously and not ignored...

I used to live near here and came in all the time, I always found it a little expensive, but it was the middle of 2021 (covid) so it was understandable, and I was happy to help out a local business. The owner would always say hello to me when I walked through the door and the quality of the food was excellent. I recently came back to visit for the first time in almost a year due to fond memories and I was extremely disappointed. I actually didn't know that they changed owners initially, but I immediately noticed that the old owner wasn't working in the shop on that particular day, and nobody bothered to greeted me (I waited for quite a while before even being acknowledged by the staff working there). After ordering and waiting 38 minutes (they quoted a 25 minute cooking time, which is in line with what I expected, based on the previous owner), I received probably the worst chicken I have ever had. After looking at the other reviews here, I see that they have a new owner which explains everything. I absolutely hate thighs and drumsticks. I prefer white meat, wings and breast. Friend of mine suggested we buy the family back with the 10 pieces. I thought why not. Man I was a little disappointed when the pack only contained 4 nibbles. The rest was thigh pieces. That killed my night. In hindsight I should've stuck to my original plan and go for the wings. Next time I will do exactly this. Flavour wise it was excellent. I loved every bite of the nibbles, not so much the thighs..jesus that was painful to eat.

Oh and your fries portion needs some adjustment. They were tiny. Not worth it in my opinion. If you are going to serve them in those cardboard punnets, then you need to rethink. Either server shoe string fries so that it looks like customers are getting a good deal or remove the cardboard punnets and use paper bags instead. I will try this place again once lockdown is over.
