Westie Bistro — Restaurant in Henderson-Massey

4.3 rating , unbelieveable. Must be from the previous owners . Saw under new management banner in the front so thought we would give it as go . For me and my family , even a single star cant convey my disgust of this establishment . The C grade rsting above the door is not easily seen , hence the customer has no idea as to the horror that they are about to experience . The service is unrateable as minus 50 doesn't appear on the scale . Staff are totally disconnected to the customer , we had to after a couple of hand waves find a table to sit . Half a dozen hand waves to the totally uninterested staff behind the bar finally got drinks The food , don't start me on the food My 2 year old daughter could have done a better job . On complaining I was called a racist ( can you believe that as a customer ) . I sent my flame throwed but rare requested steak back to have this accusation thrown back at me . If you are going to advertise fillet steak on your menu, please use fillet steak! My mum & her brother ( both in 70s) came here for dinner and thought they'd treat themselves to steak. What they asked for and what they received was completely different. The "steak" was tough, hard to cut, grey and inedible. On top of that, the plate was covered in way too much salt. My uncle politely let them know this and pointed out either the restaurant was being ripped off by their butcher/supplier on the cuts of meat being used or their chef needed to re train. The manager was attentive and listened & only charged them for one meal. There are a few reviews like this one, so I just hope the bistro takes note and rectifies...

Just had a dinner at Westie Bistro. Firstly the service was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive. We had milkshakes to start and they were glorious! 10 out of 10!. My son had the kiddies pizza, it was also nice with lots of cheese, garlic bread also was cool. For mains my son had the sirloin steak and I had the scotch fillet steak, his was ok, mine was disappointing, it was not seasoned at all and my steak was very tough and full of gristle. Not what I would expect for that price. I tried to add some salt and pepper but the pepper container was empty.
