Tuk Tuk Thai — Restaurant in Henderson-Massey

Small portions. Average quality OK but not delicious. Overall disappointing.

We ordered 3 entrees and 3 mains for a cost delivered of $94.

Entrees Deep Fried Tofu - probably the best item of the night, creamy and soft inside, but you have to like sweet peanut sauce Spring rolls - not crisp. Edible but not delicious Golden prawns - dry, overcooked and inedible - were thrown out

I am a major lover of crispy prawn rolls but wanted to try out this style of prawns deep fried in egg noodles. They were horrible.

Mains Chicken cashew Penang pork curry

Bundling these two together because the review is the same for each. They were average. I realize that dishes from restaurants are not really cooked, they are assembled; but these dishes were blatantly so. The ingredients simply did not blend together. The pork and chicken were obviously velveted separately in water and thrown into a pre-prepared sauce. The vegetables were however tasty and crisp.

3rd Main - buttered scallops. Most expensive dish ($25). Tiny portion and very unappealing visually. They look like a scoop of something dubious had been splatted onto the top of some lettuce and veg.

We love Thai food but will pass on this...

I have ordered thru ubereats last 4/7/2023 and posted a review here for customer’s information but seems that my review was being removed.

Now, I am reposting for customer’s awareness. DO NOT DELETE as I have the right to raise this to the public.

First quality issue on first item: KANA MOO KROB, The restaurant appears to have used a vegetable that has fungal infestation (See yellow and black spots on leaves as evidenced in photo). I have taken a photo of a green and clean leaf that can be used to compare the quality. 2nd issue on the same item is that the rice quantity is more compared to the mains itself. See photo as evidence.

2nd item issue: MONEY BAGS. I always love eating money bags, as per food description on Ubereats it is made of mince chicken and peanuts. Quality issue is the item appears to have mainly peanuts. See photo as evidence, you can tell by appearance and by taste. Also it was crazy sweet that I can’t take another bite anymore.

Both items I ordered, I have disposed them. I will never ever buy from this restaurant again

It wasn't bad. I was expecting alot more considering I nearly paid $40 for 2 meals delivered? Lesson learnt and I will probably prefer Hansans compared to Tuk Tuk. I ordered the wonton egg noodle soup. Firstly the packaging for this was really bad, secondly the fried pork was so thin it was flavorless, the broth that come with was also bland and flavorless, which I used my own soya sauce and chilli sauces I have at home to give it some sort of flavour. The noodles seemed over cooked and soaked in the flavorless broth held nothing. The choy was over cooked as per photo, there was no freshness to this meal at all $16.50 The 2nd order was a lemon grass on rice meal. The only thing that was good was the rice. The chicken was in pieces chopped up some overcooked and rubbery and some pieces actually okay.
