Pulled up at Mangere Bridge during water rise and it was doing its best impression of the ocean trying to sneak inland.. Sometimes it’s dry,but not today.. Today it was windy, splashy, and perfect for a calm stroll..
The old bridge heritage site stands nearby like a grandpa telling stories,while the new bridge is the younger cousin who actually does all the work.. Plenty of parking,toilets on site (always a win),and if you’re feeling adventurous,you can walk all the way to Onehunga..
But honestly this spot is for when you just wanna chill,let the sea breeze slap your face,and vibe out with the view.. If you’re in Mangere,it’s one of those “why not?” places..
