Trevor has just completed a custom-build short-scale[30"] bass for me. I could not find one that was suitable in terms of construction, components, and quality. It has a [mahogany/maple] laminated "through-neck", Alder body wings, Indian Rosewood fretboard, Gotoh hardware and Lindy Fralin Pickups. The tone is deep and rich, with incredible sustain. It taken me a while to write this review - but I was booking my guitar for another tune up - and was reminded of this apalling...
Read moreI have just completed a guitar build at Binford Luthiery. I chose to build a telecaster style guitar with a few modifications. Trevor was extremely supportive in my design ideas and the whole build experience was enlightening and a wonderful experience. The guitar is beautiful and sounds as good as it looks. I wholeheartedly recommend anyone considering a guitar build with Trevor to enroll and get started as soon as a window of opportunity arises. I have gained new skills and a good understanding of solid body guitar dynamics. A great experience. I now feel confident enough to try...
