Lucky Cafe — Restaurant in Māngere-Ōtāhuhu

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent visit to Lucky Cafe Mangere Bridge for morning tea. I ordered the creamy chicken pie, but unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The chicken had an unpleasant texture, and the pie itself was very dry, which contradicted the "creamy" description on the display.

I brought this to the attention of a staff member, showing them the dry pie, but they simply looked at it and walked off without addressing my concerns. I even went back to the counter to reiterate that the pie was not nice, but received the same response. This lack of engagement and resolution was quite disheartening, especially as I had hoped to enjoy a pleasant morning tea with a blind and deaf person.

Lots of eateries in the one area and all popular. Chose Lucky Cafe today and well worth it!! A little tricky to get inside due to all the tables spilling out the door into the pavement, but warm welcome once inside. Large all day menu to pick from plus cabinet options. Affordable prices and quick service to the table. Hot matcha is to die for, and hubby fell in love with the avocado shake. I found mould on my already half eaten meal and when I discreetly let them know they tried to tell me it wasn’t mould cause they scratched it off... then once i said I had taken pictures they tried to say “sometimes it’s at paknsaves end” and not even an apology, at this point I’m now upset that all I’ve been fed is excuses so when I ask for a refund they stood in front of me arguing with each other (I’m guessing husband and wife / owners) in there language and hand me a $10 note my breakfast cost me $25 This is sick disgusting behaviour and I feel sorry for the lovely wait staff who I could tell were clearly uncomfortable and knew how wrong the...
