Arrived at 10:00am; lots of space, twelve other customers seated and eating/drinking; see through canvas keeping the cold out and there was a cold wind outside. I've eaten here before; good menu with good variety; unfortunately the food comes out on cold plates, so too the pot of tea so after 2 minutes, the tea was not steaming hot. When my meal arrived (big breakfast) after five minutes, the tea was now warm and the plate being cold, the breakfast wasn't as nice as I was wanting it to be. Spoke to the staff and got a 'thank you' but I don't think they really took it in. Not sure if I'll go back again as there are other shops close by...
Read moreI ordered blueberry pancakes , expecting their will be blueberries in the pancake. Instead I got a tablespoon of thawed blueberries beside the pancakes. The pancakes were nice and fluffy. I was told that it would be a 20 minute wait in which I didn't mind at first. However 45 minutes later I was still waiting with no reassurance that the wait will take a bit longer. I was not the only one who was waiting this long , and getting frustrated at customers who are checking up on their meals or telling them that it will take another 20 mins wasn't really reassuring. They will make adjustments to menu items without hesitation if you have dietary requirements - try a “haloumi buttie.” They are often open when no one else is and never bother with surcharges etc. They’ve made me coffee during power cuts, and on the very first morning in level three after the big lockdown, there they were bright and early safely serving me a long-awaited long black and cinnamon brioche.
