All takeaway !!! This food goes right to the dining table ! The portions are massive , the value is great , the quality, flavor and freshness hits the mark 🎯. Great location , as a shopping stop at New World and a quick gop down the street and done. The owners are special and proudly display their Heritage through savory Chinese dishes. The Orange beef w/ broccoli, onions, carrots was delicious served with ample white rice in the container. The pork fried rice ( char-siu ) is so satisfying with so many peas and onions and carrots. The rice texture perfect, flavoring the best, and a generous portion of bbq pork. Another local asset for Kandallahs residents and visitors coming from outside areas. Haven't been to this takeaway for years although do live in Ngaio so close by. Unexpectedly went last night (20 /3/2021) and ordered three meals. My adult sons and I were very impressed with the quality of the food and the generous portion sizes and decided we would make this our regular for takeaway. Hence I was so impressed I decided to come here to write a review. Haha then I see the previous reviews about small portions and rudeness of staff. Well I can say those reviews must have been noticed as the meals were tasty and definitely worth the price from other places I have visited recently. Yes the man serving appears grumpy but I don't think he means to be he is just not a talker and the woman made up for that with a lovely smile and an 'enjoy your meal' when the food was ready. The fish was Hake one I’ve never had before. Sizing was longer than a Hoki but about the same thickness. The flesh was clean as a whistle, soft to the bite and tasted really nice. The batter was interesting, it was crunchy but had a slight hold to it, which was actually nice.

The chips ticked the CCT standard. Subtle firmness on the outside encasing a pillowy inner. Just greatness in every mouthful.

The corn fritter was banging!! Ratio-ness, crust had crunchiness, and tasted of corn-ness.

Hotdog was a saveloy which is my preferred meat over a frankfurter. Great batter and little grease.
