Quaint cafe in Khandallah. I had previously visited years ago for cabinet food but this time thought we’d order off the menu. We both ordered the big breakfast and it was tasty. One of the poached eggs was a little over cooked and for the portion size, it didn’t feel like a big breakfast. Apart from that, everything else was cooked well and the sausage was delicious. Also, the coffee was great. Just note the menu prices in some people’s photos are out of date and you can expect to pay $2-3 more. However, no complaints from us given the price is comparable with other cafes, costs are up everywhere, and it’s nice to support local businesses that have done it hard during COVID.

Excellent little secluded cafe, intimate environment and superb food. My partner and I had oat mochas and they were excellent, not too acidic or burnt at all, and the chocolate tasted very well with it. Great coffee! The food was also great. The small team made us a delicious ceaser salad with salmon, and French toast with many different fruits which my partner loved. Great value as well. The environment with the pool next door and the Mount Kaukau loop track made it a perfect place for us! It set us up for a great walk. Overall, this hidden gem is 5/5! Will definitely be returning and telling all my friends <3

Such a friendly welcoming team. I have only been a few times but already feel the warmth of a regular. Looks small from the outside but actually lots of room inside plus the deck wraps right round 3 sides of the cafe. This was winter when I visited. Assume it gets busy when the open air pool opposite opens in summer.

Stopped by as it looked really cute. Ordered mac and cheese for my daughter that was advertised as special, as well as had it's own sign in the counter. Received mac and cheese and noticed that there were small bits of meat, I asked and the clerk said it was bacon. It did not say it had bacon on either of the signs. I told him we were vegetarian and didn't eat meat and his reply was "well there isn't a lot of meat in there." To any vegetarian any amount of meat is meat. I felt this was handled very poorly.I am not trying to be an entitled vegetarian, but if a dish has meat in it, the signage should reflect that. I was also told very roughly that the mac and cheese was no unsellable and so no refund would be given. This is not my fault that he can't sell it again. The other dishes we had were simple and took a long time to warm up. Overall this was not...
