Read moreI had a very unfortunate experience at this café today around 1:30 PM on New Year's Eve. I was sitting outside, enjoying my meal and coffee, when a staff member came out to clean the front door, which was 3 foot away from where I was seated.
It's a windy day, and as the staff member sprayed cleaning solution on the door, it blew straight into my face and mouth. This not only ruined my meal but also made me feel quite disgusted. The staff member murmured a single "sorry" but did not acknowledge the situation further, which left me feeling disappointed. I had to rush home to rinse my mouth, feeling horrified by the incident.
I believe that anyone working in the food industry, especially in a café in Wellington, should be aware of the importance of not spraying cleaning products near customers, particularly on a windy day. This was honestly the worst experience I've had at this café, especially since it was my lunch on New Year's Eve. I hope they take this feedback seriously for the sake of others' safety...

After the initial 20 minutes of waiting I had to go up and ask about our order and was told it would be 5 more minutes. Once the fries had finally arrived, no apologies for the long wait or anything. The person just handed us our fries, took our number and left. Like I said at the start, it’s usually a great experience but...
