Title: A Gem in Khandallah - Parsons Cafe and Bakery Outshines! From the moment you step into Parsons Cafe and Bakery in the quaint heart of Khandallah, Wellington, you understand why this place is beloved by locals and visitors alike. Our experience was nothing short of spectacular, captivating both the senses and the soul with its delightful offerings and charming ambience. Upon entering, we were greeted by the warm, comforting aroma of fresh coffee and baked goods that felt like a cosy embrace. The interior exudes a rustic charm, with a friendly, welcoming vibe that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff at Parsons are the heart and soul of the establishment—always sporting genuine smiles, they provide exceptional service, ensuring every patron feels valued and well-cared for. Now, onto the culinary delights! Parsons Cafe and Bakery is a veritable treasure trove of culinary creations. Their bakery items are divine, each bite of their flaky, buttery pastries transported us to a state of bliss. We particularly loved their signature sourdough bread—crusty on the outside, soft and airy on the inside, it's a testament to the skill and passion behind their baking. The cafe menu is equally impressive, featuring a wonderful array of dishes that are both innovative and comforting. We tried their seasonal brunch special, and it was exquisite, perfectly cooked, and presented with a level of care and creativity that is truly commendable. The coffee deserves a special mention too; robust, smooth and just the right kick to start the day on a high note. This charming cafe also offers a selection of vegetarian and vegan options, catering to all dietary needs without compromising on flavour or quality. Each ingredient speaks of freshness and quality, a reflection of their commitment to offering the best to their patrons. In conclusion, Parsons Cafe and Bakery is more than just a place to grab a quick bite; it's a destination that nourishes the body and soul. Whether you're a local or just passing through Wellington, do yourself a favour and visit this delightful spot. It’s experiences like these that remind us of the joy of finding hidden gems in the culinary world.

Great busy consistent cafe with a fabulous selection of food to suit all. We had tasty creamy scrambled eggs with crispy bacon today washed down with my favourite coffee brand . . . L’affare. Love the fact they have five grain toast that I prefer. They also have sourdough. We also took home some yummy slices (huge choice) for arvo tea. Staff are fabulous and the service is quick. A great place to visit in Khandallah, highly recommend.

Nice little Cafe, beautiful pies and great service. Very popular with the locals. No pie pics but the almond croissant was delicious!

I had a very unfortunate experience at this café today around 1:30 PM on New Year's Eve. I was sitting outside, enjoying my meal and coffee, when a staff member came out to clean the front door, which was 3 foot away from where I was seated.

It's a windy day, and as the staff member sprayed cleaning solution on the door, it blew straight into my face and mouth. This not only ruined my meal but also made me feel quite disgusted. The staff member murmured a single "sorry" but did not acknowledge the situation further, which left me feeling disappointed. I had to rush home to rinse my mouth, feeling horrified by the incident.

I believe that anyone working in the food industry, especially in a café in Wellington, should be aware of the importance of not spraying cleaning products near customers, particularly on a windy day. This was honestly the worst experience I've had at this café, especially since it was my lunch on New Year's Eve. I hope they take this feedback seriously for the sake of others' safety...

For what is usually a 5 star experience for me, my experience today was disappointing to say the least. Went in for a late lunch around 2pm to get a pie and some fries for takeaway. Only a few tables of customers and others coming and going, getting pies, and coffees. I ordered some fries for takeaway and service was great but for some reason, this late in the afternoon, it took 25 minutes for the fries to be ready. After the initial 20 minutes of waiting I had to go up and ask about our order and was told it would be 5 more minutes. Once the fries had finally arrived, no apologies for the long wait or anything. The person just handed us our fries, took our number and left. Like I said at the start, it’s usually a great experience but...
