Cashmere Lounge Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in North Island

My partner and daughter thought we'd try this restaurant as it rated well on Google, and we wanted a nice place to celebrate a birthday. My partner and I ordered the beef fillet and my daughter tried the risotto. We also ordered sides of truffle fries and seasonal vegetables - beans and broccolini.

It took a while to get service as the restaurant was quite full, and a little under staffed. However once orders were placed dinner arrived soon after.

The beef fillet was served with braised beef cheek. Presentation was good and the food flavoursome. The seasonal vegetables were excellent, and along with the risotto were the highlight on the menu.

We were very pleased with how accomodating the kitchen was, as a child's portion of risotto was not a menu option. However when I asked they came back and said they could do this. They also accommodated a request for a half size portion of fries, as when we looked at the standard serving on an adjacent table it was very large and we wouldn't have gotten around to finishing it.

I recently visited the Cashmere Lounge Restaurant and Bar and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. From start to finish, the service was exceptional. The hostess was friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The food was expertly prepared and beautifully presented, truly showcasing the chef's skill and attention to detail. The location of the restaurant was convenient, located close to the city and easily accessible with ample parking when we arrived. The decor of the restaurant was tasteful and added to the overall atmosphere, creating a comfortable and inviting environment. There is a bar too! Came a few days ago for my partners birthday. Unfortunately his steak came out quite overcooked when he had ordered rare. We asked for a replacement but I had to eat on my own for 20 or so mins until the next steak came out, then he was eating his on his own. Had I waited, my food would be cold. His second steak was indeed perfect which is why it is still deserving of some stars, however it was pretty disappointing as a dining experience both of us having to eat on our own.
