Albany Leisure Centre — Local services in Upper Harbour

Attended swim school and children were refused class as they had no swimming caps. Unfortunately I didnt have a purse on me so I asked the girl if she would give us caps for class and I would pay the following week, I was informed no. I asked if the classes would be reimbursed and was told no. I noticed a child without a cap another class, the same staff member who refused class was grading 2 children who also werent wearing caps...kind of contradictory.

If you want to talk about 'hygiene' let's talk about the disgusting state of the changing rooms, where the family room bins are overflowed with dirty nappies and rubbish and how many "code browns" did Albany have in 2023? 🤔

After being informed no further charges would be taken out of my account they proceeed to take money...

Really bad experience here unfortunately. I had my 9 year old and 4 year old with me. We got there at 430 and there was a line. We waited as we were told it would be about 15 min . By the time 530 came, we were told they are waiting for people to leave the pool as the amount of life Guards was too low for the amount of people. We continued to wait just to be told nobody could go in now until 615.. which meant we were entitled to a 45 min swim, not even the amount of time we were waiting . I would of appreciated to be informed of the actual situation earlier , eg: we have Staff members knocking off at this time instead of waiting for last minute. Maybe not enough Staff and I definitely felt there was no compassion toward the parents in line who waited hours . Please ,...

Great swimming pools, fun for the kids, nice party area, and ample parking. I would prefer private shower areas though... pools close sometimes without prior notice. My son almost drowned once and the young life guards didn’t even notice, just standing around chatting and looking pretty so don’t really know what they’re there for? Otherwise not too bad, we still enjoy it and...
