i asked to make a booking with a stylist who is good with curly hair, and they put me with zoe, who has NO CLUE how to treat curly hair. she gave me a wet cut and combed and pulled out the curls as she was diffusing, leaving me with a fluffy mess, zero curl definition, and “face framing” pieces that had nothing to do with my curl pattern. i didnt say anything so as not to make a scene, and also because she clearly wouldn’t know how to fix it and i was so mortified i just wanted to be out of there. the salon as a whole really sucks for matching me with a stylist who can’t cut curly hair when that’s what i specifically asked for. they really need to get a grasp of their stylists abilities and not act like everyone can do any type of cut. it’s 2024 and you still don’t know that different hair has different needs?? sooooo disappointed, will be telling all my curly friends...

Unfortunately I had a bad experience at Colleen when getting my hair cut yesterday. I had to quickly book an appointment to fix it after leaving. Zoe was my hairdresser and unfortunately left my veey thick hair with no layers or shape after I had let her know at the beginning of the appointment that my hair needs layering. It was possible that I wasn’t direct enough but who knows. When I got to my makeup appointment at another salon they showed me that the left side of my hair was much longer and was cut on a diagonal angle. I had high hopes for the salon and service but have left feeling very disappointed about spending money before christmas on something that...

Such a shame. The service and the environment was great but it all took a turn when I got the bill. They have a very cheeky booking and pricing system. You can’t just have the hair treatment without the blow dry and that more than doubles the price (from $60 to $125). But their website or payment window doesn’t state that clearly anywhere! It talks about colouring + blow dry, but not treatment + blow dry. Later you get one email confirming your appointment and another saying compulsory blow dry was added to your appointment. No mention of the added price here either. So yeah - as long as you know this part and have a budget for it -...
