Point Resolution Footbridge — Local services in Waitematā

An elegant bridge - when form, function art and architecture collide.. this is the result. A beautiful design that compliments the environment, nods to history, and serves with purpose. Perhaps mundane to some - but if art and design is your thing... come and take a closer look on a sunny day. Graffiti and broken glass panes suggest an unwanted element may be present when there is no one to witness, so perhaps it is best to avoid this area after sunset. Very close to a bus stop and convently right by Parnell baths, the bridge offers magnificent views over the harbour and islands beyond. Smiles...

On 3/3/2024, i joined “Round The Bays”. All participants started near Ports of Auckland and we enjoyed our run, jog or walk this morning.

Even though the weather was not so good today, I managed to finish my walk from around 9:45am to 11am. Gracefully, during our walk, there was no rain at all. Only after the event at around 12noon, it suddenly rained heavily for around an hour.

All of us ran past Ports of Auckland and Point Resolution Footbridge. The views there were fantastic.

What foresight to invest in this footbridge to easily access the Parnell Baths and to safely access both sides of a busy highway. Great views of the harbor, downtown, Rangitoto Island, and so much more. Sometimes, it is easy to take these conveniences like the footbridge and the well constructed steps leading down to the bridge...
